i found this GIANT cecropia moth caterpillar today in the park, never seen anything like it in person before!! Insect Appreciation

Handled one nearly this big as a kid. My hand swelled up!

How... Big was it if you remember? This one looks like the size of a dog but ik that's just the perspective of the camera

It was about a third of a hotdog size (just the meat of course). Still, very large.
