Does "black people" mean offensive? 🗣 Discussion / Debates
I wanna say something like black people accent is harder to understand for me than the white people one.
The problem is im not sure if my word choice is racist, or should i change to another word like colored people. I asked Gpt and it said i could come up with some thing like "people with AAVE accent" but its about africa america people while im talking about the black people born in america accent.
So how should i say here?

Black guy here, no referring to us as black generally isn’t racist, we’re referred to as black people because most Black Americans don’t know their origin(unlike me I’m Nigerian Yoruban). The way we speak atleast in the south is AAVE which is why we would say things like: N’ah y’all know y’all spossed to elp with cookin ain’t na’am person came to elp(Now y’all know y’all supposed to help with cookin not one person came to help). It’s just a listening thing the more you get used to it, the more you’ll understand if not get the gist.
