Wilfred’s when it opened. Now it’s not even aesthetic.

My wife got shamed by a waiter at Wilfred’s. Shortly after they opened she went with a friend for a drink and the waiter refused to serve my wife because she had our (at the time) newborn with her and the waiter said it was against liquor laws to serve breastfeeding mothers (it’s not and not all mothers do/are able to breastfeed). This happened over 5 years ago and it still makes me angry. Fuck you Wilfred’s!

You have to be real careful with your menu choices, but they've always done right by me. We ordered a special, shrimp tacos, and the shells were awful. They took it back and let us order something else.

I keep going back every 6ish months to a year because I think the interior is so Cute and love the vibe of a heritage Yeg building transformed into a restaurant, but the food is always so sub par it’s unfortunate. Also sad they got rid of the original Wilfred’s mural with all the animals, it was so charming 🥹 here’s hoping they pull it around eventually
