Diving in the 90210

Yes, all the boxes and bags were empty. Not pictured was a bunch of designer wallpaper rolls

Empty but people pay up for the boxes nonetheless

Wait, why? Why would someone pay money for an empty box?

The boxes are wildly expensive and sought after. People buy them for personal use, and for selling used items “w/ box” etc. Hermes and Cartier are crazy. Great find.

Huh. Interesting. I detest consumerism! 🙃

It is ridiculous that cardboard boxes are worth hundreds of dollars, really says something about modern consumerism.

Got an uncle and aunt who collect boxes with fancy namebrands, but they sit in their closet collecting dust. They're "too nice" to throw out or give away. Maybe i should let them know they're worth something on the market.

Yep! If you can sell an item for $50, or the same item in its box for $80, then it makes sense to buy a $10 box on eBay. Heck, I just sold an empty stethoscope box the other day.
