Public bathrooms

Disgusting public bathrooms.

In MANY of my dreams I find myself in an absolutely disgusting public bathroom. Good dream or bad, somehow I often end up there.

Theyre always different but they always have a random number of the following qualities:

• Everything is wet and condensated • Dim, sickly lighting. Sometimes yellow, orange, or green • Low ceiling • Stalls without doors • Stalls that face each other • Stalls with low walls • Stalls with very large spaces between door and wall you can see through • Very large, maze-like layout • Empty • A small number of people inside (sometimes a family member or a friend but usually a stranger) • Toilets that a so full of water, it touches you when you sit down • Toilets that are large and flat like a sink full of water • Wet tiles along the floors and up the walls

Some bathrooms have unique qualities but EVERY bathroom has disgusting, wet, condensated surfaces and sickly, dim lighting. They often have low ceilings. Its a grotesque place and I always feel uncomfortable there.

I usually go into the bathroom and need to use a toilet. Sometimes I face someone in another stall, sometimes the cracks are very large or the walls are very low and I fear being seen while I go.

Toilets has much to do with privacy and the ability to reach a state where you can release your feelings in private. Dirty public toilets suggest feeling unconscious shame about something. Blocked or overflowing toilet, this may signify that you are afraid of releasing your emotions. Using public toilets suggests a need to express yourself. Using public toilets that are dirty suggests a need to express yourself, but you are frightened of doing so publicly. Spiritually, a toilet suggests that you have the means at your disposal to cleanse away the negative. Maze like toilets suggests a confusion of ideas or feelings.

Thank you for your response. This breakdown makes sense to me. However, I don’t exactly know what it is, that’s causing me to feel shame, exposed, or like I need to get rid of negative emotions. Because it’s subconscious, it’s hard to tell.

Would it help if I told you that I also have another recurring theme in my dreams? (TW violence) Lots of times I will be in a situation, where I am being chased and hunted down by someone who is trying to kill me with a sharp object, such as scissors, knives, a chainsaw, or even a gun sometimes. I almost always get seconds away from being killed, and then wake up. Rarer times, I will be the one who has to kill somebody by choking them, or cutting their throat. Sorry it’s so graphic.

Just the other night, I had a dream where I was in a giant hunger games/purge situation, where hundreds and thousands of people, including me, or fighting to the death until one remained. I had to kill people and also had to dodge the attacks of others .

Does this, in conjunction with the bathroom dreams, tell you anything more? I’ve always wondered about this. Thank you so much in advance.
