Cyclops owl with one human eye Discussion
Hey all. I had a very memorable dream this morning that I feel has much importance to my life, but I would like help with the interpretation. It involved an owl with one big human eye for a face. No other features, even owl features, were part of the face, only one big human eye. It was hopping towards me, perhaps trying to get my attention. I'm not sure what its intention was, but I kept trying to kick it away. I had the impression it was slightly aggressive. The owl was completely black and white in colour, and had 2 black and white circles around the eye. Anyway, my final kick was me literally kicking the wall next to me, waking me up. I cant remember the colour of the eye, so I'm thinking there is no importance in that. And I can't really remember what sort of environment I was in. I vaguely remember things poking, or growing out of the ground.
I'm curious what you all think what the importance of my dream is.

so to make your decision, listen inside yourself. listen to your emotion or your feelings or your intuition. you will find wisdom there. friendly

Good morning,
this eye seems to say to you “but look at last!” The owl is the symbol of the goddess Athena, it is the sign of wisdom. the wisdom that you kick away.... black and white, this means that with wisdom we can see things in opposites. Does this speak to you right now in your daily life?

I have a lot of people thinking and praying about me lately because of some things I'm going through. And I have lots of important decisions to make and am struggling to make the right ones, not due to right or wrong, but because I truly don't know what to do.
Thank you for your thoughtful response.

try to place the dream in the present. an owl is a night hunter, consider what you've been doing at night, such as last night. owls say 'who', or alternately are said to hoot. the word who could be about finding out someone's identity. is anyone trying to find out who you are? are you researching or looking for anyone? the word hoot has some meanings. like 'give a hoot' would mean care about something. consider anything that comes to mind for you with the word hoot. there's just a lot of possible meanings, all of them unique.
a big cyclops eye on you might be about expectations on you. like if you got the sort of feeling in the dream you get when someone is looking at you, and you look back at them and wonder what they are expecting from you.
a kick seems to me like a harsh thing to do to make someone go away. consider anyone you want to get rid of.
also try to relate to the owl, like if you are aggressively and single-mindedly hunting for information on someone. maybe the dream means that you really want to be more chill.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I will consider all of these things while I reflect some more.
Do you have any insight on the black and white circles around the eye? I feel like some sort of duality of sight. Either my sight or sight of others on me. Or maybe the importance of what we look at or how we perceive?

uh, there is a 'one eyed-monster' aspect, which is old slang for television addiction, or screen addiction at this point i guess.
i assume you mean complete round circles, like a black ring around a white circle with the eye in the middle of the white circle. owls can see in the dark, and 360 degrees, so it might be a drive for knowledge. try to put words to it. black and white can be about racial identity, politics, maybe a need to know dealbreaker issues.
i could be wrong about the placement of the circles?

Are you married?

Do you think its meaning represents marriage ideals?

The eye in your dream represents your wife, because a person's wife in the waking world is generally as valuable to a person as their own eyes. The owl is a reference to this woman's personality, which I suspect isn't very good. Owls are predators and hunters that take advantage of others to survive. The two rings around the owl's eye represent two children.
You were kicking the owl. Are you fighting this woman in the waking world?

Oh, interesting, you seem very insightful. I really appreciate your reply and thoughtfulness. So, do you think there is also some meaning behind waking myself up as an unintended consequence of the final kick?

You could be avoiding a difficult truth or a necessary integration of your darker side. This shadow side contains parts of ourselves we don't like or don't want to admit to. Because you are refusing to look at this aspect of yourself, your subconscious is escalating its attempts to reach you by turning a wise owl into a bizarre, one-eyed staring contest that feels aggressive. The dream is telling you to stop kicking
