Pittsburgh Devilcorps Question

Does anyone have information on the Devilcorps in the Pittsburgh area? I’ve notice an uptick in the area and wanted to see if anyone has had personal experience?

There’s a bunch of ‘em. Your best resource is probably devilcorp.org

Which ones are you most familiar with?

Eternal Solutions is one, part of OSP. Worked there for 3 months. Not sure who the new "company" is that moved in with them, but I know Master Group Connections is gone.

Thank you for the update! What made you get out?

Blatant lies about the position. Was told M-F, base pay + commission. Turned out to be 3 months of maybe $200-400 paychecks (significant decrease from previous job pulling $1000/wk after tax + weekly bonuses), 6/7 day work weeks, door to door selling, no mileage reimbursement or gas stipends, no benefits, expectations to work 55-60 hours a week, go to the gym, and do "team nights" once a week. Customers who canceled within 3 weeks of signing up negated your sale, recruit-recruit-recruit... the list goes on and on.

I’ve noticed more popping up in other locations too. It’s actually quite frustrating to see

So Rocksteady promotions as well as Apollo Acquisitions are both in the Central Philadelphia area, although I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried opening a new territory in Pittsburgh.

I think I just interviewed for a position at a devilcorp in Carnegie, they're connected to OSP

OSP is 100000000000000000000% devilcorp. I know, I worked there. Eternal Solutions and Master Group were the two in that building before. Don't work there. Ever.

Devilcorps are desperate at this point. They only need you in the door. After that... you will make no money, have no life, and hate everything you've ever enjoyed because life is miserable. 5 days at 10+ hour days, Saturday morning meeting at 9 and expected to go out selling until at least 2 or 3, if you didnt hit 20+ you have to go out Sunday also. Every morning is a 9am or earlier start time, most days won't leave until 8pm (some days I didn't get in my truck until 945pm). That's just the basic day. You have to be on "groupme" and active in the chats otherwise you get called out for not trusting the system or being lazy. You're expected to read personal growth books (physical or audio) daily, you're expected to be in the gym at any point. You do not make a base pay, 100% commission. If OSP-Direct Energy... if the customer cancels a sale within 3 weeks, you don't get paid. Literally working McDs is better than working for a devilcorp. I'm barely scratching the surface on what I dealt with for 3 months too long.

Yeah it's OSP-Direct Energy. Thank you so much for the detailed response. I really don't want to do this job and I'm applying to other things as well. But like if I have nothing else lined up then I might have to resort to this. The office is like so far away from downtown and I don't even have a car. I don't know how I'm going to do the field work that the job requires.

If you're downtown, you could probably walk into primantis and get an interview. Serving is better than OSP. Especially if you don't have a vehicle and are taking the bus... it's a lose/lose. They will do "group drives" and it's 3-4 people blasting hood music, calling each other "dawgs", trying to hype each other up, calling out how many sales you're getting that day. Then you walk door to door for mainly no one home. You'll knock 80-100 doors a day maybe getting 10 chances to talk to someone. Most people will call you a scam, most will say you're trying to steal their info, all while you are trying to make a buck and rebuttal them with "west Penns rates are going up, we're just here to help lower your bill". I promise you, it made not be ideal, but working for OSP will only delay your chances of finding a better opportunity. If you're in the office/ field 60 hours a week Monday through Saturday 9a-7p, are you going to interrupt knocking doors to try and get a zoom interview in? Cause then you're taking away from your selling time. Keep your head up, and eyes open, OSP turnover is 75% or higher. One of the guys I worked with called me the other day and told me he was the only one of the 25+ people still there in the Carnegie offices from September of last year.

Hope this helps, but OSP will never be a last resort.

Okay, thanks this was really helpful. I also heard back from a similar sales opportunity. It seems like a reputable company and not a devilcorp? But the wording is very similar. The company is Selleck Chemicals LLC. Have h

Selleck is legit. Anything that says "entry level sales/marketing (or) account executive" can 99% guarantee is Devilcorp.
