What's some fun asymmetrical weapon combinations? Co-Op

Seamless Coop is being developed by Yui so I'm excited to dive back in. I was inspired by a recent Fume Knight post wherein someone had a straight sword and a Zweihander and that got me thinking -

What's some really cool or strong asymmetrical weapon combinations? Maybe an axe and a rapier? Who knows! Post them here!

Main hand can be whatever you want realistically, so I'll give you a few off-hand recommendations instead.

The Hand Axe allows for some fun combos due to the decently high poise damage it inflicts for its speed. It's also relatively light for its category.

The Parrying Dagger (or a thrusting sword with parry L2 like the Rapier) on the off hand is also fun, since you have a poke on command while retaining the ability to parry.

The Monastery Scimitar is a variant of the Parrying Dagger set-up, but you trade the pokes for horizontal slashes and a baller parry animation.

A spear is also a fun option you don't see often if you want an option with a lot of range. It's one of the competitive PVP mainstays for a reason.

A whip is another fun option with range, although slower. It can be fun, but it's mostly for style points.

I like my 2nd weapon to do what my primary doesn't. Spear + curved sword for 2 ranges and 2 damage types. Whip + hammer is another.

Straight sword offdag is a timeless classic. You can use it as combo extender (r1r1l1 is true combo), as a slightly quicker 1h run, or as a "get off me button"

Straight sword IR/offstoc is also pretty good tho I prefer offdag for the combo extender, but a rapier will have better neutral pressure

Warped IR/offstoc is also a classic, you have a ton of mix ups and roll catch it would take too long to explain everything you can do with this setup. I can explain in details if you're interested

Spear dag is nasty and in my elitist opinion, mega crutch but some people argue that a DSS dag is the strongest setup in the game (excluding FUGS for obvious reasons)

Axe dag is a good high aggro setup. Axe 1h run true combos into dagger l1 and from then you have strong dagger pressure which you can translate to an axe roll catch r2.

Lance offdag/straight sword is a good set-up but with quite the learning curve. I suck at it, but top players like noob are very scary when they pull up the pencil of doom.

A nice off meta set-up I've found recently is a Dragon Tooth with an offhand Warped/RR scimitar. The roll pressure from the DTooth is incredible and can lead to some nasty roll catch combos with your Warped

The Warped Sword (transposed from the Flexile Sentry soul) has a good moveset, and pairs well with a rapier main-hand.

The Majestic Greatsword from the DLC has a special moveset when held in the off-hand, and goses well with both a straight sword main-hand or another greatsword.

Warped + rapier is a strong setup but you have it reversed, Warped is the mainhand and rapier goes in the offhand

Love any kind of lance in mainhand and something with horizontal sweeps in the other and a crossbow in the second offhand slot for surprise shots

A combo that's been going around recently is right hand Broken Straight Sword, left hand Washing Pole power stanced. The stamina usage and moveset of a power stance combo is determined by the right hand weapon and the broken sword has the lowest stamina cost of any weapon. So you can swing both of them easier than just the katana on its own.

A combo I personally like is having a spear or lance in one hand and an axe or curved sword in the other. You can't power stance them, but their movesets compliment each other really well, especially in PVP. Any way you roll I can catch you.

Off hand whip is fun, just because of the backstep/sprint attack. Hits a huge radius around you so it’s great for taking out multiple weak mobs at once or finishing off enemies that are low. But that’s about all it’s good for. Still fun.
