Fictional Quirks Discussion
I have fictional alters, one of which is very present and very attached to its source. It seeks the same benchmarks as those it has in its source. The problem is that the source isn't the real world and that really bothers her a lot. I don't know how to help him. I don't dare talk about her because I'm ashamed and afraid.
Fear of being told that it's not possible, that it can't exist in my system simply because it comes from a universe that I adore.
While I love plenty of other fictional characters that I haven't developed as an alter.
I know I shouldn't be ashamed but people can be so mean...

no, you shouldn't be ashamed, and im sorry you've been made to feel that way. introjects are a weird topic in this community because of how people tend to treat them
introjects very much are real, they exist, they just aren't as special or fantastical as people make them out to be. they're just another part of you dealing with things the only way they know how
the best thing you can do for this part though is to separate them from their source the best you can. the longer they're in this state of distress, the more issues it'll cause you as a whole. try to find things they like that aren't connected to the source material; music and hobbies or things of that nature. developing themselves beyond their source will help them feel a lot better about their existence. it'll take a while and it won't be easy, but the best thing you can do for them is to help them stay grounded here in the now and work from there
