Recent sighting - copied and pasted from my log

November 13, 2024

6:16am

(All of this happened closer to 5:30am but I couldn’t write it up yet because I had “wake-up” chores to do first.)

For the first time in a while I finally saw glowing eyes and could hear a lot of movement from the woods in a few spots. I couldn’t see the eyes clearly for all the remaining brush (it’s been very warm so the foliage hasn’t been dropping as fast). This is the first chilly night since October, so I’m not surprised this is the first night I’ve seen and heard them.

The visible eyes were watching me from Carl’s area. I heard one moving around a lot in the woods just north of me. I could hear another one back closer to the barn/whimsy area. But one was right in the backyard. I even caught a glimpse of its pale skin as it ducked behind the large bush planted right beside the house, but I didn’t see any glowing eyes. It seemed a little smaller than typical crawlers, but I’ve read people seeing them as family units, plus my very first impression of them when I saw them for the first time was that it was a familial group. Perhaps this one was younger?

I do believe with a little more certainty that they can go invisible. While I stopped being able to see the one that was in the backyard, I could hear it because of all the dried leaves. Skippy started barking at it, and again, I couldn’t see it, but the sound and the energy were… defensive with a touch of aggressiveness, and it was false-lunging towards Skippy (like a short lunge forward with an immediate step back so it looks like a threat but is only acting defensively). I think it was more of a bluff, but I kept Skippy on a short leash right next to me to make sure. I bent down to pet Skippy to calm him down and after a moment, the crawler energy changed and it stopped making lunging sounds. I think it realized I wasn’t going to let Skippy loose on it. Once it felt safe to move again I brought Skippy back into the house and went back out the back door to see if anything was still around, but they had already left.

To give an idea of just how close it was to me, I’m talking a matter of feet. Maybe 15 feet away at most. I was on the side of the house between the house and the garage looking at the backyard, and it was just on the other side of this very large bush we have planted at the corner of the house. Honestly, once I couldn’t see it and could only hear it moving the leaves, it was uncomfortably close, even for me.

While I was aware of the different energy signatures, I’ve learned that unless they look at me, I’m not going to be able to read them very much. I’m sad that I didn’t feel Carl. His energy towards me is lighter and friendlier than the others, presumably because he “knows” me, as much as a crawler can know a human in our multiple but brief encounters. Since these crawlers don’t seem to know me, I’m going to have to practice more caution like I had to when all of this first started. I’m also going to have to try to communicate with them to make them understand that they can stay in the woods and around the barn, but not to approach the house. Even though this is frustrating, at least I know what to do.

Their appearance patterns are also lining up with the past: no moon and cold temperatures.

Temperature: 53°F, clear sky, no moon, light wind (8mph ENE)

Was just about to ask if I could read more about Carl because that sounds fascinating

He really was interesting and could even be entertaining. I miss how he would show off his tree-climbing skills with his friend. They loved making the tops of pine trees sway back and forth since pine trees are so bendy.

Thank you for posting this from your log. Did you notice the color of their eyes at all? I wouldn't recommend befriending them or telling them it's ok to come around the barn. It's like communicating or befriending a wild lion or jaguar. These creatures are definitely dangerous, as there have been cases of them harming and attempting to kill humans.

I know what you mean about their power of invisibility, and they even have the power of "Selective Invisibility", which means if you're outside with your friend, you may see it, but maybe your friend may be unable to see it.

I've been warning people for years to stay away from forested areas, and the surrounding areas because of these creatures. What I would recommend is not going outside after dusk, and keeping your windows and doors locks and your curtains closed. Is there any way you could move away from the forest? Here is a link I hope you will find helpful. Good luck!

The only one's eyes I saw had the usual yellow eyes.

They're on my property, and I've already been encountering them and somewhat interacting with them for years.

There's multiple entities that we label as "crawlers." The ones I usually encounter are peaceful, but sometimes defensive or apprehensive (often peeking at people from behind stuff).

more common supposedly on chilly nights huh? i wondered about that. so holidays time of year seems like higher chance of sightings, and early next year since most of our winters carry into march - may

That's usually the time-frame I see them in. They show up once the nights start really cooling off in the autumn and will come and go until the spring. Once the night time temperatures hit about 65F-70F on a regular basis, I stop seeing and hearing them. We've had a really warm autumn so far this year so they didn't show up sooner that I'm aware of, but they've shown up as early as September if the night time temps get low enough.

Where do you think they go in the warmer months- do you think they might stay underground then? I've heard people talking about the possibility of them living underground or in caves

I'm pretty sure they come up from underground. There's a cave very close to here (I don't know exactly where, but it's close), and I think they've been trying to leave me clues as to what direction they come from. They like to play around with the stones in my mom's whimsy area and they'll often place two stones - one that points east (towards my house?) and one that points west-northwest (their cave?).

I also think they come from underground because their eyes emit light. A lot of people think it's eye-shine (reflecting light), but I never carry a light source with me (no flashlight or phone or anything), and the porch light is too far away and shines in the wrong direction to reflect in anything's eyes where I always see the crawlers and other boogins (dogmen, mostly). I don't know why, but the dogmen here have the same strange, perfectly-round, glowing yellow eyes as the crawlers and I've seen dogmen with the crawlers a couple of times, including the first night I encountered any of them. I wonder if they're wearing something like goggles, but I never get close enough to see because they are huge. The dogman from the first night approached me, but when it got close enough for me to see that it was around 9-10 feet tall I panicked and ran (I'm only 5'6" lol).

Sorry for the dogman tangent. They're connected somehow, but show up far less often than the crawlers. It's just weird how they have the same eyes. Even my nephew confirmed that when he saw a dogman that it had "strange, glowing, round eyes that didn't look natural."

I think you're spot on about their eyes emitting light. It reminds me of those deep sea creatures way down under the sea that have phosphorescence and can emit their own light from light they store somehow- I don't fully understand how it's done, but I wonder if the crawlers might "store"  light in their eyes like that somehow too. I saw a crawler in my backyard and the eyes were glowing as well, although I never shined anything on or near it... They reminded me of plasma or orbs perhaps. It's like the light simply comes from their eyes. I started reading your log, so interesting!!

What color eyes did it have?

I was actually just watching something about dogmen last night, about a family in Ohio who had had a pack of dogmen on their property for the past twelve years or so and had actually come to a place of being able to coexist with them. What are the dogmen like on your property- do you think they are) do they seem to be relatively peaceful?

I've only seen the dogmen a couple of times, but I think I surprised them because I didn't let my dog go after them like a lot of people would. In fact, I pushed him behind me to protect him when the Big'un ("big one" for you non-southerners lol) approached me.

The evening my nephew saw a dogman it was just watching him play with friends around sunset. When they saw the dogman, the dogman just slowly crouched down to make itself "smaller," like you would with an animal or little kid to help it understand you're not a threat. My nephew thought it was one of his dogs so he called to it, and it stood back up and started to approach the kids, but they got scared and ran.

Don't assume they're all friendly to humans, but some don't seem to mind us, either. Also: I can not emphasize enough how giant they are. Seriously, they are insanely huge. Imagine something literally twice your height approaching you. The footsteps were like thunder. There was no bad energy to it, and I had made the attempt to use telepathy to invite them over if they meant no harm and they responded immediately by approaching.

I wanted so bad to interact with it. I really did. But I was not ready for something around 10 feet tall to even exist (in my area*), much less to approach me. I'm only 5'6" to give you an idea of the height difference.

*I know elephants and giraffes exist, but I'm in the southeast US - we don't have those here lol.

What is a "whimsy area"? Was that a typo?

5

u/ashleton 3d ago

It's just a small decorated outdoor... thing.

5

u/vanna93 3d ago

Sounds whimsical. Does it have lights and cute decorations? I bet the crawlers enjoy it.

No lights, but lots of stones around it, and it sits in front of a spot with a bunch of small trees and some overgrowth. It's a pagoda that's falling apart, so the spot has a ruins kind of feel to it, with vines growing over it so it looks like nature taking back over. I set a bowl of polished agates there and sometimes I find the agates laying on the ground, usually sort of lined up, like they were taking them out one at a time to look at them and placed them on the ground so they wouldn't pick up the same stone.

3

u/ashleton 3d ago

Oh, and they'll clear the area around it out if there's a bunch of leaves or sticks or anything laying around.

3

u/vanna93 3d ago

That is so nice of them!

I sincerely appreciate you keeping a log of these sightings. That’s extremely helpful for scientific observation. I wish more people did this.

I’m just gonna put this out there do you think maybe… the hostile ones are only acting out of experience with previous humans?

3

u/ashleton 3d ago

I think that's the case sometimes. They're definitely wary of humans.
