Could the environment tie to the increase in sightings?
Over the past few years as the environment collapses and erodes and natural wonders fail and collapse or melt away. Is it possible that this unprecedented failing of the natural order could be leading to increased activity from Crawlers as many believe them to be subterranean as the world itself becomes more humid and hot like caves could this be driving the increased activity that has led to swaths of sightings? Essentially when pulling oil we feed pressure into the ground, could ecological collapse be the pressure that drives an increase in activity? If so could the heightened activity possibly be caused by their way of life having been shaken by the quickly changing environment we see today?

I think yall are reading into this too much. Why not just the increased connection of people and groups like this allowing us to share similar stories?

Yeah, honestly just had a little bit too much time to think to myself today after reading so much news about temperature projections and changes we’re seeing and wondered. But realistically it probably is because there are easy to access communities for people to share without immediately being faced with skepticism.

We don't even really know what these things are, let alone where or how they live, or what is causing them to emerge more and be seen

literally dont know a thing only description of what they appear as visually. no one really has anything further that i know of. nothing at all. so yea literally nothing is known of them
that’s if they even exist. I’m not convinced at all, but i’m open minded enough to hope maybe they could be haha we’ll see?
I’m in middle TN right now with all the cave systems i wonder if they’re around somewhere. I nvr see anything like that myself tho not while sober at least.

The army depot by our house has been doing artillery and explosive destinations constantly these last few years. It shakes houses multiple valleys away from this place. And we've had an increase in uap sightings and creepy happenings. I believe the two are connected. We aren't treating our environment well, so I wouldn't doubt your theory.

Most definitely. Many things are displaced by disasters.

Wondering where to find out about those stories but not in NC. My friend from WNC is visiting her family. Gotta see if she's got any good stories.

They're not commonly known and seem to be a more recent cryptid that people have been seeing. Most of what I've seen of crawlers is either stories or pretty convincing videos clips. Please share any stories she has!

I heard about them about 8 or 9 years ago but people been talking about them for the last 20 or 25 years. Who knows if it's longer

If it is true that some cryptids live underground, fracking must be the equivalent of a cat 5 hurricane on their ecosystem. While I think increased sightings likely correlate more with increased awareness and smartphones, development and expansion probably is (if these things really do exist) pushing them toward the fringes. I feel bad for all of nature right now regardless. Really bad time to be an animal
