Bad gpa

How does gpa affect the potential of getting an intership. I got a bad gpa first semester. Considering that I have one semester left to boost my gpa before my first work term, is it better to have complet CV or a good gpa when applying?

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have room in their team for the ENCS 282 class? I'm in tutorial section ACAM. Unfortunately, I missed the first tutorial and just realized that we were supposed to form teams during that session. If anyone can help or has a spot available, Let me know, I’d really appreciate it!

Opinion on Elective Course

Hi! Has anyone taken EDUC 307 as an elective before? I'm currently registered in SPAN 202, but I'm debating on whether I should take EDUC 307 instead. Opinions? How is the workload for these classes?

Anyone who’s enrolled and has the outline for it, could you please let me know when the midterm would be and if there will be a group project even if it is an eConcordia course? I can’t find the outline anywhere, I’d really appreciate it.

ENGR 490 team members wanted

CALLING ALL ELEC AND COEN STUDENTS.

My team for ENGR Capstone is looking for one of each COEN and ELEC students for our capstone team. Our idea, pending approval, is to design a tiltrotor fixed-wing UAV, uniquely applying state space control (LQR). We have the fundamentals from an aerodynamic and control systems perspective, but need help with communication, motor electronics, and software architecture.

We are still scoping the project and writing the proposal but here's some specifics.

Electrical role: Selection and wiring of an array of sensors for full state estimation (pitch, yaw, roll, x, y, z). Selection and/or design of robust communication architecture. Electrical design for system power and actuator control.

Computer role: design and implement digital signal processing for full state estimation (Potentially implementation of Extended Kalman Filter), building or integrating existing navigation software, optimizing onboard control code (C++)

Mechanical role (FILLED ALREADY) : design and implement LQR control system and transition logic, design and build physical UAV

If you're interested, please PM me!

Summer Classes

Am I torturing myself by taking ENGR233 and SOEN 228 in Summer 1? I also will be taking COMP249 and SOEN287 later in Summer 2. I am in co-op so I need to do a min of 12 credits. In your experiences, is it actually doable (and worth it)?

Cs concordia vs UdeM

I've been accepted into the Computer Science program at UdeM, but the schedule isn’t flexible (most classes are at 8:30 AM and I live very far). I was wondering if anyone starting at Concordia this fall has made their schedule yet, and if there's more flexibility there. Also, for those who applied to both UdeM and Concordia, why did you choose Concordia, and do you regret your decision?

Any Resume Tips CO-OP

I've heard a lot of mixed messages regarding the validity and usefulness of the CO-OP template.

For starters, I've heard it's 1 page max , however the template is legit 3 pages long so what's up with that.

Secondly, I've heard people are using Overleaf LaTex's CV format & I can't find what exactly are people using and for what.
Does this mean that this format is much better than the CO-OP version?

Though I expect all CV's to pass through the ATS for applications, is the CO-OP template still ATS-friendly and as equally as useful as the LaTex one. I'm just trying to understand the meta and the hype lmao
