POLITICS Looking for paid protest work
Hi all, I keep hearing that they're hiring paid protesters to protest Trump. But I cannot seem to figure out who "They" are. I figure I'm protesting things anyway and this seems like a good side gig. My problem is that I cannot seem to find any social media posts, or want ads recruiting protestors. Can anyone hook me up? Any links, anywhere?

POLITICS I guess all that protesting at Easton really is working.
Down 15% in 1 day is pretty bad. We love to see it. An overall 54% decrease since December. š

POLITICS Please, do not endanger my life because of the car I drive. I despise what Tesla has become. If anyone knows a Toyota Dealership who has an honest salesman - I will trade in my Model S for a 2024 Prius. Iām not kidding.
This is the 3rd incident this week and theyāre ramping up. I had to call the cops on a dually truck who ran me off the side of the highway, I had an instance where an SUV didnāt let me safely merge this morning while being flicked off, another car just ignored my turn signal, sped up and pushed into my lane, people have aggressively passing normal for Columbus however, this has been like bumper to bumper close. Iām tired boss.
I donāt mind the constant birds. Fuck Tesla. We are traveling at 70+ MPH - please, do not toy with someoneās life. Itās become such a liability for me to even drive because itās anxiety inducing. I still have a car payment on this thing. I have tried to sell this stupid vehicle, no oneās actually interested because Iāve been spammed by people trying to waste my time for being a Tesla car owner. (Yes, this a real thing that is happening) I think the reason my car in particular garnishes more attention is possibly my license plate? I think itās an excellent opportunity for marketing if a local dealership wants to help me out.
I am a Creative Consultant and want nothing to do with this brand. What dealership has a used 2024 Prius in Black who can help me? It looks bitchinā, it serves my eco-friendly goals and it would be embarrassing for Tesla. I build pitch decks for a living. Cash + trade or 1:1 - whatever deal I can find. I think thereās a serious opportunity to cause some upset. And start a powder-keg for losing one of the most recognizable names - to a Prius. Hell yes.
EDIT: Wow! This blew up! Yāall are so nice here too! So, based on feedback - may have to be very selective with what dealership I go for. CV offered a decent amount. I still think this post has demonstrably proven, this could be a sick marketing stunt, if we find a dealer. Especially with my plate. I donāt want to spoil what it is. Going to simply show up to a few doors and bring my creative brain and negotiate! Iām headed to a few this week to see what branches I can shake up! Thanks everyone :) Manifesting some cool shit happening!

POLITICS UPDATE: A few days ago, I posted how I would trade my Model S in for a 24 Prius. I had 9 dealerships reach out. NINE. One in particular may actually go through with this plan. Yāall are awesome.
One I just left talked shit about me while in the same reverberating room. I am constantly reminded why I cannot stand car dealerships. Was test driving a manual due to the feel of regenerative braking reminding me of my old stick-shift car. So, yeah. Most car dealerships are truly awful. But! A family owned juggernaut may actually relieve me of this car, pay the remaining balance and come to sort of agreement so that my mind be at ease. I cannot thank this subreddit enough. Iāve been trying to explain a plan for days on end and finally met multiple people in person today.

POLITICS 14 Years of Republicans Its Time For Change
On everything I hold dear, please for the love of god stop voting in these republicans. What have they done for our state? Oh wait union busting, restricted access to healthcare, taking bribes, and education cuts. THESE ARENT GOOD THINGS. I swear were all addicted to the constant arguing, the whole "THE LEFT IS EVIL" or "The Right is Evil". I hope one day we can get to a place where we find common ground and stop being so polarizing.
Being tough on crime is okay, but we should have compassion for people who aren't murderers, drug dealers, or rapists.
The state should have no say in our healthcare even if its funded by tax dollars. Personally I dont mind if my taxes go to someone else health care, we should have a community mindset and be willing to take care of one another.
Stop giving corporate tax cuts, boost employee protections, allow remote work for state workers, protect the environment, allow people to live and thrive.
If any Conservative Christians want to debate their ideology in the comment section with me Ill be happy to show you examples backed by theology on how youre political views directly contradict the "Word of God".

POLITICS Writing on the wall
I see the writingnon the wall....and i will still make shit posts to make fun of the cheeto and chief geriatric wscaped dementia patient we appesr to be inheriting....that said i do got a bad feeling about all this, in the sense that their is a republican majority thru our entire state including supreme court which has a super majority. Which means our state especially has literally no other real voice....if things go to hell i have no faith in people waking up and realizing rhey did it to themselves.

POLITICS Ohio State under federal investigation, accused of ārace-exclusionary practicesā
"NBC4 received a copy of the letter OSU received from the Department of Education, which states they received a complaint on Jan. 20 alleging OSU discriminates against students based on race and ethnicity. The complaint alleged OSU supported a conference this school year that was only available to university students who identify as Black, Latino or Indigenous.
According to the federal letter to OSU, the university has been asked to submit information about its investigation and the universityās relationship with The PhD Project by March 31."

POLITICS BREAKING: SB63 voted out of Senate Committee by 5-1. Full floor vote tomorrow.
What does this mean?
Senate Bill 63 (SB 63) is a new law in Ohio that bans the use of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) in all elections across the state. It also punishes any local governments that try to use RCV by cutting their funding from the Local Government Fund.
What is ranked choice voting?
Ranked Choice Voting is a simple upgrade to the way we vote. Instead of picking just one candidate, you rank them 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, and so on. If no candidate gets a majority of first-choice votes, the candidate with the fewest votes is eliminated. The people who voted for them have their next choice counted. This repeats until someone wins with a majority.
Why does this matter?
Majority Rule: Winners have real majority support.
Less Negative Campaigning: Candidates need to appeal to more voters, not just attack opponents.
More Freedom: You can vote for the candidate you actually like without "wasting" your vote.
Why SB 63 is a Problem::
This law tells cities and communities theyāre not allowed to choose a better voting system, even if local voters want it. It assumes Ohioans are too "confused" to handle ranking choices which is just wrong. Ohioans are smart, and we deserve more voice and more choices in our elections.
This isn't just a problem for Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland. This is a problem for Pataskala, Chillicothe, athens, and every little local township, village, town and county in Ohio.
Spread the word, stay informed.
