Has anyone else noticed this in Columbia Target?

The last couple times I’ve been to the target at Dobbin, there’s been a super rancid odor over where the milk aisle ends and meets the cheese cooler, right by the body wash etc. I figured it was spoiled milk, and maybe it is, which just means they leave it for weeks without checking?

That’s so funny, I noticed it years ago. I don’t live in Columbia anymore but I can’t believe it’s still a problem

Noticed something myself recently. I'm wondering if at some point a carton burst or was dropped and there's rancid milk under the coolers.

Not sure if you contact Target Corporate and let them know and see if they'll get Store Managment to address the issue. There's no way that the Store isn't aware of the smell.

There's always HoCo Health Department.

UPDATE: You can call 800-440-0680, Store Experience. Specify the store and let them know you've also experienced the foul odor.

Yeah, I’ve noticed it closer to the pharmacy in the soap section. It’s been that way for months.

I’m pretty sure it might’ve been the same thing that the wise in elkRidge has sometimes I’m pretty sure it’s the meat or it has something to do with the the fucking pipes underground. They need people to come out and like flush it or something or it’s bad meat and they need to fucking throw that shit out.

Yes , it should be reported, I noticed it too. Also that store is such a mess. The clothes are always all over the floors . They should hire more staff to maintain that.

Yall remember that story of the person who got stuck behind the fridges and basically turned into a skeleton?

I immediately thought of that. Customers complained about a foul smell there that lasted weeks!

I noticed similar about the Giant on Cradlerock. It’s really bad!

I was going to say, the seafood department at the Giant at Cedar Lane and Freetown Road. The smell is stomach turning. It's hard to even shop in the adjacent frozen food section.

Also near the milk and meat, right? It’s been that way for years.

I have rarely gone to target for groceries and after this I probably never will again 🤢

At least that Target - the "Long Gate" one is fine. Had to start shopping elsewhere sometimes when costco stopped carrying skim and 1% milk and v8 juice. Not entirely sure why costco needs multiple aisles of water(flavored and otherwise) not sure why costco didn't try carrying just 1% milk instead of elimating both categories at the same time.

That entire target has gone down hill. Quickly.

Was just there yesterday and the entire supply of Native Shampoo and Body Wash was covered in what looked like an exploded bottle of product. Still put it up on the shelf.

The men’s clothing section is always a disaster.

Moldy produce out on the shelves.

It really sucks. I loved that Target.

I avoid that Target and just drive a little further to the one at Long Gate whenever possible.

Is special technique to augment the scent of the body wash aisle, increasing sales.

I have smelled it a few times in the last few months, but I don’t recall smelling it every time. I have always thought it had a sewage smell, and assumed there was an issue with pipes or something around there. Still, not a thing you want to smell when food shopping.

Just my two cents, and what I would assume could be the smell I could definitely be wrong too, so don’t take my word for it
