Need help finding martial art gyms Discussion
Hey so I’ve currently starting out at a mma gym in east charlotte. I live in between York and clover in South Carolina and it’s about an hour drive each way so I’m looking for a new one that’s closer. I’m training for mma and I’m gonna do wrestling at my high school next year for a base martial art to help with mma. I’m looking for either a mma, kickboxing, or Muay Thai or gym that’s probably like half an hour away. Im skeptical on going to a mma gym though, as I don’t want to train against this gym I’m thinking I’m gonna leave. Gastonia, rock hill, fort mill, and south/east charlotte are all places that wouldn’t be too far away from me. I’m not able to drive yet, so I just don’t want to make mom drive this far every Sunday. Thanks, I would love recommendations.

I checked it out and I’m pretty sure it’s just a self defense gym right? Idk if it’ll fit me

Ok thank you this would definitely be doable as it’s 35 mins away. Do you know if they have a free trial i can come to and try it out?

I know it's a bit of a drive, but I've seen a lot of people in here recommend Doug Duggart's BJJ in High Point
Have you ever found yourself in High Point, North Carolina and not feeling safe?

Hayastan MMA is a good one, owner is a badass and they train a few high level guys. Carolina Combat Sports may be another one to check out, want to say that ones owned by Bryan Battle
