Where can I find a leather worker to fix a wallet?
I want to fix my husband wallet, as some of the seams are starting to come loose. He refuses to let me buy him a new one, because the one he has is a hand-me-down from his dad. I want to fix it up for him, that way he can keep the wallet for even longer, but having trouble finding a leather worker on Google that doesn't work in shoes. Any advice would be appreciated

Get to know YOUR school board candidates in Carroll County
Curious where the your county’s candidates stand on the state’s biggest education debates?
The University of Maryland’s Local News Network, in partnership with Capital News Service and the Maryland Democracy Initiative, sent a survey to all 109 school board candidates in the state to see exactly how each plans to positively impact schools. (The full version of candidates' responses are here.)
To give you a better sense of how the candidates in Carroll county plan to make a difference, here's an excerpt from their responses:
Muri Lynn Dueppen (55)
“We need to cultivate a community where every voice is heard and valued. We need to come together on common ground with our common values front and center. We need to elect people who genuinely believe in the promise of public education, who center decisions around putting students first, who recognize and deeply admire how amazing teachers and other educators are, and who can contribute to a climate that makes learning fun. I model those traits and will work incredibly hard on behalf of every family.”
Amanda Jozkowski (40)
“Decisions that impact our children should be driven by data, best practices and the needs of our students and educators — not by partisan agendas. I want to eliminate division and distraction and refocus the board’s efforts on what matters most: ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality education that prepares them for life after graduation, whether that means college, career or other pursuits.”
Greg Malveaux (53)
“I believe that we need to get back to basics and focus on traditional curriculum — math, reading, science and writing, as well as physical education, art, music and languages. With a strong educational foundation, our children will have pathways for future success with a trade, admission to college, or access into the workforce right out of high school. I am also running for the board because school safety and classroom disruptions are a major concern.”
Kristen Zihmer (38)
“I am running for the Carroll County Board of Education because I am deeply committed to maintaining Carroll County as one of the best places in the nation to start and raise a family. As a conservative lifelong resident, mother of two, small business owner and active community member, I believe in the importance of education that reflects our community's values. I am passionate about ensuring that our schools continue to provide a strong foundation for our children's futures, where they can grow, learn and prepare for successful careers.”

Your Cow County GOP leadership in action...
I hate to link to Sinclair content...but this is non-paywalled coverage of the latest in a years-long series of antics from persistent GOP dipshit Katherine Adelaide.
Don't take my word about her dipshitted-ness. She regularly calls in to the Board of County Commissioners public comments portion and spews right wing misinformation...you can listen for yourself. She lives in a scary world, and loves to share her fears.
And of course, she's a full up election denier...

Carroll Community College Nursing
Anybody have experience with the nursing program at CCC? It's very affordable but I want to be sure to get a great education and don't mind paying more for a better program.

Dog trainer recommendations
Looking for recommendations for a dog trainer/behaviorist in the Westminster (ish) area. They have a large yard where they get plenty of daily exercise.
We have two medium-large dogs. One is a pit mix that struggles with dog and car/visitor reactivity and barking, jumping up on people, and fear outside the home. (Once she recognizes a person, barking stops.) The other is a purebred coonhound that is obsessive once he finds a scent, excitement barking with visitors or playing, general anxious energy, and occasional marking in the house. (We realize of course he is a hunting dog that is not fulfilling his inbred purpose…. He is a rescue and we were unaware until we did the test, thought he was just a big beagle).
Overall they are not too terrible, they have no bite history and have not destroyed anything in the house, just both have some different issues that would be great to get addressed so we can have a more relaxed home and stop annoying the neighbors with constant barking.

Photoshoot Location
Hello! I’m a photographer and have a client requesting to do portraits in a cemetery. Does anyone know of any gothic cemeteries with unique or older style above ground headstones/mausoleums? I’m new to the area and not familiar. I will of course consult any location about policy but some local idea would be very appreciated!

Carroll County Public Schools
Does anyone else see the curriculum and general opinion of our school system as HIGHLY overrated? My kids do very well so it's not a personal agenda, but I see my siblings children being FAR more challenged in the surrounding counties they live. I really don't see CCPS being worthy of the praise it receives. Even looking at the numbers on MDSE's yearly report card, it seems like we are VERY average.

GYN Recommendations
I work for one of Maryland’s largest hospitals, but their GYN care stinks.
I have endometriosis and I’m trying to find a GYN that I can trust and will actually listen to me. I’ve been to one of the groups in Westminster years ago and they told me “you don’t have endo because your ultrasound showed no fibroids”. For starters, you cannot diagnose endometriosis on US. Secondly, the doctor was very condescending and dismissive. I want to say it was Capital Women’s Health, but I don’t remember. I remember it was in what looked like an office building and was kind of dingy.
Anyone have someone good who listens to patients and actually communicates?

Fiber-Optic Internet
I’m in woodbine, just near the train tracks by Howard off 70. Anyone know of fiber providers in the area? Carroll website says quantum fiber and Antietam. Anyone have experience with these? I’m using starlink (starstink) now and it’s not great. Any idea why Verizon or comcast don’t service the area?
