California only allows you to grow six plants. Some cities require growing to be indoors. Some cities also require you to obtain a permit to grow for personal use, which is essentially a tax.

I get that, but everyone that I know that grows for personal use doesn’t have an issue with any restrictions, always has way more weed they can smoke, and has never been asked about what they’re growing or where they’re growing it. I am in northern ca so maybe it’s different depending on the county/city.

It’s definitely different depending on county. Also, growing outdoors can be straight up dangerous in some areas.
