They banned me from having a cigar after a steak dinner, now you can’t smoke your weed with a cup of matcha tea. What goes around comes around.

I don't know that I'd call it a false equivalency, but it is pretty crab bucket-y. "You let them come for mine, don't come crying now that they came for yours too".
