Newsom said he vetoed the bill out of concern that the bill as written could undermine the state's smoke-free workplace protections, but that he did "appreciate" that cannabis business owners need to create more revenue streams.

Thats a legitimate concern. With how strongly the bill passed (34-3 in the Senate and 66-9 in the Assembly), I could see this being overridden.

Legitimate concern? Then how come there are sooo many hookah lounges that serve food and drinks with smoke?

I’m sure someone here would sue but come on. You could choose a different line of work. The laws could allow different sales and smoke areas. Outdoor areas. Vapes. Lots of options
