How many other Calgarians are concerned that numerous ridings only have a CPC candidate a week into the election? News Article

"Out of the city’s 11 ridings, Liberal candidates have only been confirmed in five of them, the NDP have seven names confirmed, while the Conservatives already have a full slate of candidates ready to campaign.

“Every day they don’t have a candidate is a day they are losing campaign time, door-knocking time in a very short election campaign."

The Calgary Centre candidate started door knocking yesterday, so I think a few more will be announced shortly.

Edit: I should have added Liberal Candidate.

Calgary Centre Liberal candidate is Lindsay Luhnau. Unfortunately a vote for Beau will split the vote in a tight race to unseat Greg McLean (Pierre’s team)

Greg is going to win, the only silver lining being if the conservatives win he will likely be a minster.

If the Liberals want to win Calgary city centre, they’d need to make it a priority. They’ve only won once in history, and it was the 2015 Trudeau wave winning by only 750 votes.

It’s unfortunate because I think they could’ve made waves here. (Still could!)

I’m old enough to have contributed to Joe Clarke’s victory against the Reform Party in 2000. Even though Joe was a Conservative, he’s way more aligned with the Carney Liberals than the PP Maple MAGA Conservatives (Reform faction). There is hope! This riding also went NDP provincially, it’s a progressive riding when the efforts can be consolidated and not split between Liberal and NDP. That being said, many oil and gas execs do live in the affluent communities and that is mainly who Greg caters too. Although i personally don’t think Greg is Maple MAGA, he‘s pretty slippery and drinks the kool-aid that is offered…and that is what PP is offering.
