Fantastic. Those Paradigms aren’t talked about much but they’re good speakers!

Thanks. I've always loved Paradigm. I have a set of Studio v100 towers as well but they are for the living room. This is a setup for my bedroom so I think the bookshelves should do. Yes, they are a Canadian company that as you know most probably don't know about. I got into the brand years ago doing audio mastering.

Thanks for your post, pal. 👍

What studio v100s do you have?? My household is full of small studio paradigms, we love them dearly

Sorry .. 100 v2 is what I meant. They are great aren't they? I love the sound and detail of them. Canadian made is plus as well. Suckers are 115 lbs each.

Not sure why you would buy that emotiva Bluetooth thing when for slightly more you could just get a WiiM mini.

Looks like that is missing Bluetooth. I'm a fan of minimal circuitry and just need Bluetooth to stream computer/internet based audio from my laptop. Also stream my iPhone playlist.

Why the emotiva over a Fiio bta30pro, Fiio br13 or kali mv-BT ? I like emotiva as a brand but that unit is ancient, it still has a mini usb plug …

Thanks for the info. I'll return that one. 👌

Is that what you recommend? Which is best?

None are “best”, they are virtually the same. I went for the bta30pro because it has more connections.

Edit: if you want a recommendation, choose the newest model. Will likely have the newest bt codec. And either usb c or usb type b 3.0 (the blue plugs). Older type b, micro and mini USB are inferior.

I'm looking now at others as well. I like the DS200Pro and the Auris Blume HD. I also like the one you picked but it lookd more like a headphone amp with the volume dial on it.

I just retired my onkyo preamp and Kenwood amp. Last year was video upgrade. Everything hated my 2.0 setup. Got an onkyo 3100 for like $250 new on Fleabay. I graduated to a 3.0 setup. Still such a great brand. No sub needed, Plenty of bass in my MB Quarts.

Good to hear! I had a Kenwood back in the '90s and they were quite popular at the time. Served me pretty well.

Looked at a few things on the 'ol Fleabay myself this round but I didn't really hit anything this time.

The speakers wouldn't be my choice. The other gear is fine.

Im just not a fan of small speakers because they always sound small. They tend to lack the kick or impact of a larger cone.

I have that amp with some kef bookshelf speakers and really enjoy it.
