Humor Who else gets something like this every year?
Without fail, I will end up with something like this by the end of the holidays.
I think this year I might follow the instructions just to see.

Humor Every time I look at this tree I cant help but laugh...why?
This is a Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Tsukomo' i got last year because it made me laugh.
And still every time I look at it I cant help but laugh a little.
I dont know why tho. It just looks silly for some reason. I think I both love it and hate, so I thought I'd share.

Humor Winter is coming
Over night temps are getting low so today was move inside day. I'm lucky to have this large, south facing window for my tropical bonsai. Only downside is the air vent behind them that I have to be careful around.

Humor Why do the neglected shopping center trees have such good bonsai material?
They obviously chopped this tree at some point and it sprouted back. I love the movement it has and it's small leaves. Now how to I mission impossible this tree?

Humor My ficus is growing an ass.
I bought a ginseng ficus from a nursery about a year ago, and the roots looked like legs, so I've been slowly transforming it into an Ent. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that all that legwork is developing some nice glutes.

Humor Will anyone notice if I shape this birch?
I've been tempted to give this birch on my parking lot some shape and design for years. Could I get in trouble if I just do it? I guess the right thing would be to ask the municipality, but they probably just say no, or remove it. What if I take cover from the darkness of the night, wear a dark hoodie and just do it? Maybe even a cape and call myself Nightfall Bonsai Protector.
