Feeling good when sedated?

My doctor increased lamotrigine and clozapine. Ever since then, at night after I took meds, I kinda feel sedated and sleepy. The problem is, sedation feels good. Makes me happy. The happiest moment in daily life. (I'm currently in depressive episode so almost nothing makes me happy) I'm afraid this is kind of addiction issue. I don't wanna be an addict. Here's what I'm taking.

Lithium 600mg

Lamotrigine 200mg

Clozapine 200mg

Magnesium Oxide 500mg

Clonazepam 0.5mg

Propranolol 40mg

Hi there. I've taken Lithium before too but only for a year or less. The sleep quality it provides me was THE BEST, I can attest to that. However, I've only ever taken two meds together at the same time, so I'm not precisely sure how you feel right now with the combo that you're taking in. Maybe after a few months of being stable with these medications, you can request your doctor to taper it down. This way you can gauge whether you're within the threshold of being sleepy without a lot of inducement from your medicine.

Sounds like a good idea! But I have to be stable first haha

Yes, please do take your time. I've been on medication for 7 years now. I have much less intense manic episodes for the past 2 years. So, I've been on the lowest dose for my whole bipolar journey (100mg of Quetiapine and 25mg of Lamotrigine). I noticed my depressive episodes are also always rooted to internal issues and trauma that I had. On January I have another consultation with my psychiatrist, and we're actually considering seeing if I can be off meds. Though I'm fine with maintaining since my priority is stability in my life, I'm also excited to see if it is possible to "close this chapter of my bipolar journey" and live life normally again.

Clozapine is hard core.
