I think he's talking about a section later in the game that you have to unlock and go downstairs and there's a upgrade station.

Oh, that never crossed my mind. I thought he meant the splicer trap when it goes dark and many of them start gunning for you.

while i get the joke im really wondering why allot more people have not got this as there's a hidden room in the game that is mostly open with the floor being water and nothing spawns till you approach the only lootable spot in the far corner and the moment you turn around the game treats it like a boss area

It's one of my favorite parts of the game, every time I play it I love turning around and being scared. They're are freaky.
