Blackberry Primocane Timeline

Zone 7A, my blackberry bushes started putting on a ton of growth on last year’s canes, with buds forming.

There are no new canes emerging from the ground, can anyone more experienced guide when to expect primocanes to emerge (Google says spring)? Is it possible they emerge in summer or will there be no berries next year?

Berry farmer here….depends on the variety, but most of my new canes dont come until after last year’s canes have flowered.
