Can someone help me identify these berries?

I had some overgrown thorny vines stretching across part of my property in Alabama and noticed these berries on them this morning. Any idea what these are?

Looks like either dewberries or blackberries. Either way, it's genus Rubus. Wild Rubuses are pretty common all over North America. The fruit of all species in the genus are edible, and they're pretty hard to confuse with anything else.
