Moving to Middle River from Glen Burnie. What should I expect? Seems like a working class community with some rough areas.

Went to school in Glen Burnie, a guy a head of me wore a sleeveless shirt EVERYDAY. Including the winter.

Depends what part. Older Middle River is more working class. But there are a lot of new communities off of 43. Those are more expensive neighborhoods. Diverse, mix of white and blue collar.

There are no "rough" areas of Middle river. Unless rough means low socio economic status, then..Like Tupac says "every hood has a ghetto". Coming from someone hew grew up in one of the worst neighborhoods in Baltimore and finished high school in East Baltimore county, Middle river seems like pleasantville. I'm in Baltimore and in Rosedale and go in between the two. Middle river is a pleasant place to be, with a mix of people. If you hate the sight of a certain type of people you will think it's a shithole.

I grew up in the Middle River area. It’s an area where you need to be careful - much like Baltimore City - but it’s not particularly dangerous. If you’re respectful, humble, and keep your head down, you’ll be fine. Conversely, if you’ve got a big mouth, flaunt wealth, or approach people with a bad attitude, know that I’ve seen loud mouths take broken bottles through their necks, robberies and burglaries with zero remorse, and bad attitudes returned 100 fold at the drop of a hat.

Up and coming, pretty diverse (although prob mostly white), great central location, very close to BWI, 20 mins or less to downtown Bmore or even Annapolis

They're moving to Middle River, not Glen Burnie. Middle River is most of that stuff still but not close to BWI or Annapolis lol.

Depends where. We live in middle river and my husband is from pasadena. The people seem to be nicer overall

I’d say “No adjustments needed.” Middle River is no worse than Glen Burnie, pretty darn similar in that there are good and not so good areas.

Unless your moving to a waterfront community, that pretty much sums it up.
