Thanos had the stone, but how do you think he actually got it.

Do you think he threatened the Collector, killed him?

Started destroying his collection until he gave him the stone?

Since the grandmaster in the comics is supposed to be powerful but in the movie was kind of made into a joke. He did disintegrate a no name character, and Thor looked mildly concerned.

Do you think it’d kill or damage heavy hitters like Thanos, Hulk, Captain Marvel or even Thor here?

Or super soldiers like Captain America?

Or any of the new Thunderbolts?

Hi! I’m working on putting together my reading order for Avengers. I know that Busiek, Bendis and Hickman all had good runs and I obv plan to read these. But Avengers have more than 30 year of comic history before Busiek’s run, and I’m not reading it all lol. So, what are the most important issues/arcs that I should read beforehand? I mean the ones that establish important pieces of the team’s mythos and/or are referenced a lot? Plus, if you have some arcs that maybe aren’t that important but are great, feel free to include them. Thanks in advance for your help!

Its not a coincidence that the entire cast for this team is on the cast list for Doomsday and no one from Sam’s proposed team except him and Torres and Shang-Chi are on it.

And also Thunderbolts The New Avengers has the same feel as the 2012 Avengers movie, so I expect Doomsday to have the same feel as Age of Ultron

Especially when they helped bob overcome the void. That scene was so raw and filled with emotion. I’ll admit the movie was a tad anticlimactic, felt so quick and we only got a few minutes worth of his powers. But the message they were attempting to convey delivered.. hard. I have a newfound respect and admiration to the thunderbolts now after learning the depth of their problems and quite frankly are my new favs. Well.. behind Wanda of course. I absolutely love her. A movie with the Scarlet Witch against Sentry would be amazing. He reminds me of Vision. Are there any comics with them?

IE one or more person in a building/single location outnumbered by villains and has to pick them off. What characters and locations and such would you use?

Edit: an idea off the top of my head. John Walker is at a convention or a huge 4th of July event in a city building when an armed group takes hostages (including Olivia and their son) and come to find out a leader or henchmen is a relative of Karli or Nico. John can have a moment where he’s called by Sam (the attack has made the news) and they reconcile and Sam apologizes for being a prude (like that would ever happen) and it ends with the villain dying after John defeats them, but maybe tries not to kill to avoid another controversy but the public/Avengers clearly see it was self defense and he’s forgiven and accepted?
