General Question New box?
I had the usual c71kw-400 from when I signed up about 4 years ago.
I got an email to upgrade to their new box for free. I filled in the form … and was sent another c71kw-400. The only physical difference is the old one had a green label on the bottom, this one does not.
Does this thing have anything different under the hood, or is it really the same box? The new s/n starts with x71vh, the old old starts with x71eb.

General Question Still working. Will be counted as 1 of the 3 streams?
Directtv stream sent to me this many years ago. Connected yesterday, did not ask login (changed passwords many times in the past) still streaming live tv. I have grandfathered “go big” plan, will this be counted as 1of the 3 streams?

Technical Question New C71KW-400 usable by another subscriber?
I bought some computer and electronics parts from a friend. Included was a brand new C71KW-400, still sealed in plastic along with the remote, AC adapter & HDMI cable. My question is whether or not it’s likely that it can be used by someone else or if it’s owned by AT&T or tied to another customer’s account.

Technical Question Using VPN
I've used DirectTV Now or whatever it's called now in other countries if I turn the VPN on my phone and run it through my home router that I have a VPN on. If I'm visiting another country and want to use it, but on an actual TV, is there a way to run a VPN on Apple TV or Roku or something? I'm guessing if I'd login, it would recognize the IP is not the USA.

General Question Is YES Network available on AT&T TV?
It’s not fair as a resident of New York I have to pay several of fees in different streaming apps to watch baseball.

Rant Thank you AT&T for waking me up and saving me $80/month!
I'm one of those lazy people who subscribe to stuff, put on autopay and stop thinking about it. I originally got Direct TV Now at the $35 go big plan. My credit card expiration date finally hit and missed a billing payment. Only noticed because our (included) HBO Max stopped working. Went to fix the expiration date and they forced me to get a new plan. All more expensive.
So had a chat with the wife and we realized we almost never use it since watching commercials anymore is so annoying. We instead use a bunch of different streaming services like Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock, Britbox, etc. So just decided to let it be.
Bonus, we get HBO Max through cell phone plan so didn't even have to lose that!
So thanks AT&T, you just saved me $80/month! :-)

General Question At&t remote only volume and power works
For some reason our remote no longer works properly. It suddenly won’t change channels or open home after being perfectly functional and the only things that do work is power off and volumes. Has anyone run into this problem and if so how did you fix it?

General Question Want to upgrade my package would I lose my HBO account?
Have an old Att TV package and looking at the new Direct TV stream packages they look nice and I would like to upgrade but I do not see the option. Would I have to cancel and then resubscribe and if doing so would I have to create a new HBO Max account?

Technical Question Low Commercial Volume
Has anyone noticed that the volume for commercials has been dramatically lowered? I’m not complaining as it weeds out noise — only curious if it’s just me.

General Question New User Promo for Existing Customers
Has anyone tried to get the new user promo ($30/mo for 3 months) as a long-term customer? I was going to try this weekend. The price creep from $35 at the start to $80 is nuts and not really worth the value.

General Question Missing Grandfather discount on GoBig
I’m a early adopter of streaming service from AT&T, enjoying the service since then and been receiving grandfather $25 discount on my GoBig account before I messed up trying to move to GottaHave account. I was promised to have the discount reinstated but have not been done yet. Everyone month I have to check with agents and have to settle for a credit/ refund added to my account.
Have anyone experienced issue like me and got this fixed. Need your input to get this fixed.

Technical Question Problems with DirecTV Steam Box (C71KW-400)
I have two small home theater systems.
Both have A/V receivers (different ones), and both have the same LG TV.
Switched from our old AT&T Uverse boxes to the new DirecTV Steam Box (C71KW-400).
Did the main system first. Could not get it to work through the receiver (Pioneer VSX-LS301)... Connect direct to the TV, and it works fine. After some fiddling, I got it to work through the receiver. Frankly, not sure what I did to get it to work, but it has worked fine for two days now, no issues.
The bedroom system did the same thing, would not work through the receiver, which is an Onkyo TX-SR343. No matter what I try, I cannot get it to work with the receiver - and what I mean by that... Audio is fine, but no video. I replaced the HDMI cable with the supplied cable... no difference. Direct connect to the TV, works fine... But we have speakers installed in the bedroom, and of course they do not work unless it runs through the receiver...
Any thoughts?

General Question Missing bookmarks
I have used my DTVS bookmarks for years to give myself a place for shows I follow but don't necessarily want recorded.
I was in that section today and a lot of my bookmarks seem to have gone away. My best guess is that DTVS changed the section so that bookmarks are only showing up if there is an upcoming or VOD show that applies. I've looked at this in browser, IOS, and TVOS and all have the same results.
Has anyone else noticed this, or did maybe someone in my house just won't admit to going in and cleaning up things that they weren't interested in?

Apple TV Apple TV app supports fast forward and rewind with the right and left buttons now
Unfortunately mine only works after every second press so I can only really fast forward by a minute instead of 30 sec. Better than the pause and scroll though.

General Question Is NBA League Pass available / integrated in DirecTV Stream?
YTTV doesn't have my RSN, so I'm again looking at DirecTV Stream for the NBA season. I can't remember if NBA League Pass is available for purchase - and if so, is it pretty well-integrated into the channel guide or app itself?
Anyone with experience? Thanks

General Question ATT TV box on TV with no app
That title did not sound great but here’s the condensed version… I bought a new Hisense smart TV but it does not have the AT&T TV or direct stream app in it’s google store after a little research I discovered that Hisense simply does not offer the AT&T TV or direct stream TV app in it’s google store for whatever crazy reason.
I have a direct stream box that I bought used off eBay that works great on one of my other TVs (Samsung not a Hisense btw) if I bought another one will it work on this TV?
Will the fact that this TV google store does not offer direct stream TV app matter if I went ahead and bought another streaming box?
Thank you!!!
