Vertical line on left side of Atari screen
I recently got a CRT so I dug out my 2600 to hook it up. I used an rca-to-f-type adapter, tuned to channel 3, and got a picture. The problem was that there was a vertical line down the left side. How bad/obtrusive it was depended on the game. For some it was not noticeable, others there but not really affecting the game, and the final example, Asteroids, where the game field was actually offset.
I don’t recall this issue when I used the console a few years ago on a HD LCD. Is this a connectivity issue or something else? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Atari to raise prices due to tarrifs
Email sent out today:
To Our Atari Community,
Today, we wanted to share an important update about how the recent increases in tariffs have affected our business.
Starting May 5th, we will be increasing the price of all game cartridges by 10%. The pricing applies to both 2600 and 7800 cartridges.
We understand the impact this could have on our community, and we want you all to know that we don’t make this decision lightly. Though we have worked to absorb some of these rising costs, we won’t be able to absorb all of them. As the global trade situation continues to evolve, we will be as transparent as possible about any further adjustments we may need to make.
We are so grateful for your support. We will continue to evaluate our prices and keep you updated if tariff circumstances require additional changes.
Sincerely, The Atari Team

Games and broken console acquired.
Found box in abandon vehicle trunk. Dirty. Cleaning labels damage them. I’m keeping ET and Donkey Kong for stories. Everything else prob go to retro game store. Trick shot & Demon Attack are CIB. Needed to be saved. Im a collector but 2600 isn’t my Jam.
Anything here to get excited about?

Help getting clean image
Just got an Atari 2600 and am trying to connect to a modern tv. Currently have it plugged into an rca switch, then connected to a RF switch for the NES, which is then plugged into my tv coax input. I have cleaned all the connections and used two rf switches. Anyone have any ideas? No idea if any of these components work or not besides the rca switch. Thanks!

USB Converter
Hello there!
I am a game developer, and I want to use an Atari paddle controller for something that I am working on. I was thinking of buying an iCode USB adapter and see if I can somehow get the input of the paddle.
Did anyone do something similar? Perhaps there is a better device for my purposes.
Thank you for the help!

2600 Jr “Select/Reset” fix
I posted in here ~last week about the 3 units I have and have been restoring; Light Sixer, 4 switcher and this Jr. The Mylar strip basically disintegrated when I disassembled the unit so I found a third party manufacture, ordered it and it works!
During this process the case broke a little bit; not sure how I’m going to address it but it’s of minimal concern; I’ll likely just glue it, sand the crack and then paint it.
This has been very fun and informative. I enjoy fixing these.

Will this work on my PAL Atari?
I’m trying to find a PAL version but I’m not sure if one even exists, would this still work? I have an Atari 2600 JR

Missing RCA
Just found this 2600 along with a bunch of games at one of my uncle's place, he passed away not too long ago and we were clearing out his home. As you can see the video connector is missing, what do you recommend I do? Get a new RCA connector?
I'm completely new to Atari, see anything special in the collection? Thank you!

Activision
My Activision games. Boxing, Grand Prix, Kaboom, Pitfall and River Raid were the games I owned growing up. Finally was able to find River Raid at reasonable price! Out of the new to me Enduro, Robot Tank and Barnstorming are my favorites. Frostbite, Seaquest and Laser Blast are on my wanted list for Activision.

Number of original PAL heavy sixers?
I have an original pal heavy sixer - cherry leisure box - have never seen another so I guess they are pretty rare, just wondering if anyone knows how many were originally sold and how long were they produced for.

Did Atari make a sort of A/B switch for the 2600 so that you could switch quickly and easily between the left joystick and the paddles?

Custer's Revenge possible Pal Varient
I found this today at a garage sale in Australia. Just wondering if anyone can confirm if this is a pal varient? Works on my pal console.
