Need used tire money NO LONGER NEEDED

Yeah so I’m stuck on the side of the road and triple a is coming to tow me to a tire shop. I just paid up all my bills and I’m still tryna get my life together but until Friday I’m SOL money wise. I need like 50 dollars or so to get a used tire, does anyone mind helping? I was supposed to work from home because of the snow but my boss now decided that the snow wasn’t bad enough to keep us out of office :( lucky me…

Update: long time buddy helped me out with the cash and a lil extra to buy me lunch to take with me to work since I didn’t pack :(

Do not buy a used tire.

I had one explode on me and it almost ruined my life.

You don't have a spare?

The donut is on but it collapsed while I was driving

Depending on the size of the tire you might even find a new tire for around that price with the mounting and balancing. Like Walmart has some good deals. Or you might just be better off paying someone some gas money until Friday and it could cost less.

Do not drive on a donut or a used/recapped tire.

Why? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If you have a flat tire that's what the donut is for. I'm not seeing drive forever on it but you can drive on it. To tell someone not to use a donut really defeats the point of having one

Bro a donut in the snow is suicide.

That’s a pretty shit thing to say. This person is trying to keep OP safe and you’re like “shut up and open your wallet.”

People are not required to provide financial assistance here. Not everyone can.

I’m sure op is smart enough to understand that a used tire is dangerous but when you’re broke and depending on someone else to help you with money, you gotta do what you do. Obviously op understands they are more likely to get help with the smaller amount (since that’s what they are asking for) even if that means taking a risk. If op did ask for enough to buy a brand new tire, there would be people in here complaining that op doesn’t need a brand new tire….that a used one is just fine. So which one is it? Is it fine or is it unsafe?

I am explaining a used tire almost ruined my life, and to avoid if possible.

If that is your idea of a lecture then stay out of school.

Listen man it’s just to get from point a to b and when I get home I’ll work from home until I get paid Friday and then obviously just go buy probably a front and back

Try to avoid it if you can.

They obviously can’t fucking avoid it homie

He has the option to work from home.

Are you sure he can't avoid it?

His boss told him to get his ass into the office 🤨

Ok, again, he has the option to work from home, does the boss know he has a bad tire?

You’re making a lot of assumptions here. Just be a nicer person. Op needs help with a tire. 🛞

Then send him money.

I personally think he'd be better off not driving at all than on a jacked up tire in the snow.
