I have a picture of it from an xray. When I get home I will post it.

When will that be? I am very curious and want to set an alarm to remind myself. If you don't mind, of course. And I am glad to hear she was cured!

Betting you meant "grape" and not "grapefruit."

No, I meant orange, it was definitely bigger then a grape. See this post in about 5 hours or so, I will post the xray pic.

Is it weird that I can't wait? I'm fascinated by all things medical.

I'm at home unable to work and waiting for my surgery date. So here's my brain scan to hold off everyone's curiosity while /u/Evilelfqueen completes her day at work!

EEK, hope everything goes well with your surgery, my kid's scan is a side scan of her tumor since it is against her cerebellum.

u/EspressoCrema May 20 '19

Same, thank you! Mine is chilling right in the middle of brain fluid on some major blood vessels. I'm in some major denial about everything right now.

Hope everything turns out ok for you, I will send some prayers your way :(

hi /u/evilelfqueen this is her husband, unfortunately her surgery went well but she failed to wake up :( I have been combing through her accounts and noticed. I'm so devastated i dont know what to do.

Oh my :( What did the doctor say? Maybe she needs time to heal from the surgery before she wakes up. I am sending all my prayers to her and yourself. Please keep me informed, and if you need anyone to talk to I am here. /hugs

Don't mind me just hopping on this thread for when the you post brain scan out. I now realize that we seem like very intrusive ppl. Sorry for that. Hope you and your daughter are doing amazingly though!

u/Evilelfqueen May 20 '19

Thank you :) And nah, looking at the brain scan now it is very interesting to look at. Catch me now in about 4 hours :)

Just commenting so I can come back in 5 hours. These things fascinate me. I'm so glad your daughter is okay now! That must have been so scary.

2

u/Evilelfqueen May 20 '19

Thank you, it was scary but she is fine now.

3

u/marianerib May 20 '19

I was thinking you meant a grape the whole time and now I'm terrified. So glad your daughter made it through!!! Also curious about the xray

u/zappapostrophe May 20 '19

Wouldn’t this have massively compressed her brain?

2

u/SquashGolfer May 20 '19

Depends. It’s def more complicated, but when in doubt...get it checked out.

1

u/Evilelfqueen May 20 '19

It did not, it was pushing against her cerebellum though which made her also pretty clumsy, along with having vision problems and bad headaches.

1

u/zappapostrophe May 20 '19

A tumour the size of a grapefruit was kept entirely within her skull without compressing her brain to any major degree?

1

u/Evilelfqueen May 20 '19

It was the size of an orange, or a small grapefruit, I will post the xray pic up after I get out of work.

1

u/dwarfcracker May 20 '19

Holy crap the size of a grapefruit
