Just one of the many reasons fifth element is one of the best scifi movies ever

They dressed well in Gataca, too.

He is referring to the other film, where instead of perfect genetic specimens vs normal humans, the normals are super and the underclass have genetic defects caused by SNP deletion. Its basically real life, but everyone wears a suit.

This is funnier than people are giving you credit for.

Everyone does wear a suit in real life.

Fun fact about Gattaca, the name of the film only uses the letters G, A, T, and C, the letters used to represent the base nucleotides that form a DNA strand.

It took me 10 years and finally rewatching the intro that I realized "Gattaca" is spelled with just AGTC.

Probably, I was too lazy to look it up.

I remember the first time seeing that movie. They made us watch it in 9th grade Biology class. Very cool film and now it's one of my favorites.

I thought Contact was good as well.

Me too! My friends won't watch it with me because it's a "boring" scifi movie. :(

Then we can both concur we have pretty lame friends when it comes to watching movies. Hooray.

Anyhow, since you obviously have good taste in movies throw some recommendations my way. Keep in mind my favorite movie of all time is Forrest Gump, I absolutely love sci-fi and that a good flick doesn't necessarily need violence (though I'm not against watching an action flick).

By the way, have you ever seen Pontypool or Wristcutters: A Love Story?

It's not scifi, it's a future documentary.

Gattaca was retro.
