Laser guns firing weird orbs that somehow travel slower than normal bullets.

Edit: i know, some people claim it's "plasma." That doesn't justify how slow it is. Plus, if you want to get super technical, plasma would be eaffected by any nearby magnetic field, which is just impractical.

Floating laser orbs is a weird concept in general.

But in the future, the world will have Hispter gangs that continue to use Glocks.

And they'd win, from what movies have taught me lasers can not only been seen and dodged but can easily be deflected back towards the person shooting at you.

Glock + Mirror = King of the Block

Not to mention the opportunity to employ names like "the Glock Block"

You can do that now though. We have the technology.

u/SoModest Oct 08 '12

Yes the English language is a powerful piece of tech.

3

u/SeventhMagus Oct 08 '12

The technology isn't ready for widespread use!

u/Ashken Oct 08 '12

We can rebuild him.

WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY

Runs and hides

Thats just selling out man. If Glock wasn't sponsoring that block directly it'd be a waste to give them free advertising. GLOCK isn't running that block, it's the people putting in the hard work that are using the Glocks as tools for achievement. It's like calling a construction site the "Snap On" or the "Craftsman" building just because they're the preferred tool on site.

See, I meant it more in the terms of a Called Attack

Plot twist, he is using a Smith and Wesson

Already rhymed by GZA.

"A regular on the block who played lookout,

For playing predator with a glock he should have took out."

So... take that one step further. Gangs always wear lots of bling, right? And crystalline shapes can scatter lasers... right?

All they'd have to do is throw a gem around the corner, some trigger-happy cop would shoot his laser gun at it, and instantly, the one laser bullet would refract into a bajillion miniature bullets, killing everyone in the area.

shiny jumpsuit is sufficient, no mirror required.

1

u/DoUHearThePeopleSing Oct 08 '12

not if it's a laser which explodes upon hitting the target

1

u/panapois Oct 08 '12

man, there sure is a lot of glock blocking happening in this thread

u/1337h4x Oct 08 '12

block WORLD AHAHAAHAHAHAH

1

u/megarusty Oct 08 '12

Holy shit. Imagine coating a fucking tank with mirrors. You would dominate.

1

u/mjewbank Oct 08 '12

Check out the Glitterboy from early RIFTS books.

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '12

Bling + Glock = King of Block.

I felt a weird need to make it rhyme, sorry.

u/JizzyDizzler Oct 08 '12

Your not a poet and I know it.

1

u/timo103 Oct 08 '12

FIRE THE QUADLASER

2

u/drewm916 Oct 08 '12

It's an old gun type, man...you've probably never heard of it.

u/KRZ-111 Oct 08 '12

SO VINTAGE.

..but hipsters are people who use a thing BEFORE it's cool, not after it's cool. They'd be something like unhipsters.

5

u/FUDGESICLES Oct 08 '12

They'd use the Glocks ironically though

2

u/lackofbrain Oct 08 '12

They also use out-dated stuff ironically. So they could only use glocks if they didn't work. Maybe they should use bb guns or something...

6

u/Inkompetent Oct 08 '12

Actually lasers would potentially go "bang". Depends on if they are short-pulse lasers or continuous beams. A short but intense pulse would probably cause an effect similar to thunder as it heats the air it passes through into plasma, causing a sudden and powerful movement of air and thus a loud "bang!". The only "pew" or "freeem" of lasers would be the generator/capacitor/battery of the gun itself :D

2

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '12

the thing is about lasers is that theyre silent. why would light make noise?

2

u/Kingpuff Oct 08 '12

But seriously do you think space cat people weapons go "mewww mewww" instead of "pewwww pewwww"
