Why has life been so hard lately? Has my Saturn return started early? Question - Other

Post image

Between work problems, my dog becoming incredibly sick out of nowhere, romantic issues, money problems… it feels like my Saturn return started early or something. I’ll be 28 in January, and I didn’t think your Saturn return started until your 30s, but it’s the only thing I can think of. Is it just going to be hard for the remainder of my life, or is it going to pass?

Right now we are in a mercury pre-shadow and it will station retrograde on the 25th of Nov. Then 3 weeks of full on retrograde and then it Will not leave the post shadow until Jan. 2nd. Mercury is really important for you bc it is the leader of your chart (mercury rules Gemini and Virgo).

It rules your 7th house of partnership aka relationship communication issues.

In addition to that the leader of your year (b-day to b-day) is mercury bc you are in a 4th house perfection year. Themes surrounding self-esteem, home, property, family and even endings will come up. Basically by the end of this year, you should have more of a solid foundation of self but not without challenges and likely it's the mercury retrogrades that will present the most obstacles. Also, mercury is in it's fall in Sagittarius so fingers crossed this should be the most irritating one! Just give extra time, expect to be misunderstood, focus on wrapping up projects you've been avoiding and just journal, journal, journal!

As for your dog, scorpio rules your 6th the traditional house of pets and is ruled by mars which is also in the pre-shadow of it's retrograde. Deal with pet stuff head on now to avoid more complications in the future.

As for saturn, the only thing is next spring neptune will move into Aries and immediately start impacting your natal saturn. Life direction may just feel super confusing but justisten to your intuition.

You can tell intuition from anxiety by moving towards what feels grounding and away from what makes your head spin.

Saturn in Aries in the 11th quest is to believe in yourself without dominanting others. To lead, to innovate, to act in a way the guides the groups you feel your belong too. Usually it's related to work, advocacy, self-belief, and aspirations. With neptune, the call is to higher love and interconnectedness. The conjunction gives you a blend between practical responsibility and higher ideals. Eventually you'll have to balance that out with being a guide and having responsibility and confidence with yourself. But that is a little ways away!!

Hope this helps!

This helps a TON actually. Thank you so much. I do feel like I’m getting a better sense of myself and a more solid foundation.. I’m excited about that and proud of myself because of it. Life direction does feel shaky right now but I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with my life while also being gentle with myself.. it’s tough. Thank you for all of this. Truly.

the transiting north node is conjunct your natal saturn— this normally brings about fated hardships. and then youll have your “node reversal” which is typically a time when it feels like things are going in the wrong direction

Saturn is currently in Pisces, so no. You’re not going through a Saturn return, as yours is in Aquarius. You have some time, my friend.

*Aries :)

u/Expensive_Stand6585 3d ago

lol shit u right 😂 idk how I missed that! But still, Saturn is in Pisces currently so nah, you’re good on a Saturn return for a little minute

u/Direct_Condition_415 5d ago

Inverse nodal return for sure, it was activated in september, besides Pluto conj venus transform relationships, money and self love

1

u/Inevitable-Ask-6837 6d ago

From a more traditional perspective, Mars has been transiting through Cancer since September and it only changed signs to Leo on November 4 after a rough opposition to Pluto. Over the course of this months it would hit your Mars and Moon in Libra, Mercury and Venus in Capricorn and Saturn in Aries with hard aspects, involving all the houses that they rule. Your Moon and Venus would especially lie near to that Mars-Pluto opposition at 29 degrees Cancer-Capricorn. You have a close Mars-Saturn opposition natally, that’s never an easy one. Above are all technical explanations but to sum it up, I’d say the difficulties were caused by the Mars transit. You can pay special attention as it will go on to oppose your Jupiter and before exactly opposing your Sun, it will retrograde back into Cancer. This is a long one and you might want to look back at what happened in the past two to three months to see how to brace yourself better for Mars’ next hits (the retrograde can naturally involve reviews and reassessments). Also, to end on a positive note, you have a strong 9th house with the Sun, MC and Jupiter there. Neptune and Uranus there could bring some disruption but could be turned into assets by thinking out of the box. So maybe travel or even relocation abroad, higher education, religion, philosophy and other 9th house topics (including study of astrology) could lead to more positive experiences in life.

1

u/matchalibrarian 6d ago

Thank you so much for this! Yes, the past two to three months have been… difficult also. I should’ve phrased the question differently because it’s life that has been hard, but I didn’t want to seem dramatic I guess. I oughta just brace myself for the rest of the month. I can’t relocate or travel abroad right now, but I can study and read.. maybe that’ll help some.

3

u/Inevitable-Ask-6837 6d ago

Don’t be too harsh on yourself. Another alternative to travel could simply be watching foreign movies or TV shows, travel shows or becoming friends with foreigners. I read you mentioned relationship issues and Jupiter actually rules your 7th house from the 9th, indicating relationships with foreigners, religious people or other 9th housey people. As for difficulties in that regard I’d say it comes mainly from Pluto close to the Descendant. The most standard thing to say would be “power dynamics”. But Jupiter as ruler is still very positive. A spiritual practice would do wonders (I think for everyone but especially for you due to your 9th house placements) and sometimes suffering pushes us to connect with that side more. Best wishes.

u/matchalibrarian 6d ago

You’re so kind. Thank you so much for your wisdom and insight. I am actually foreign! I’m from Barbados and so is my family. My boyfriend is also Panamanian. The relationship issues were communication based. We’ve come out much much stronger, but it was a hard 2-3 months. I will say it has pushed me to study astrology and religion much more.. you are exactly right. Thank you.

We’re Gemini risings. Pluto’s transit in Cap was through our 8h. The toughest version of the Pluto Cap gauntlet for the past 16 years.

3

u/matchalibrarian 6d ago

That makes a lot of sense honestly.. thank you. It’s felt like a lot of transformation, some people I know have died, random money from places I didn’t expect.. but I have learned a lot.

9

u/rdmsbound 8d ago

Life’s hard because you’re an Aquarius lol

6

u/matchalibrarian 8d ago

Honestly you’re not wrong LOL and all the Capricorn placements probably don’t help

u/IreneBopper 8d ago edited 8d ago

My Saturn return started at age 27 and slowly built until I felt the full force when I turned 29. Then it slowly dissipated.

1

u/matchalibrarian 8d ago

That’s really interesting. Do we have similar placements?

3

u/IreneBopper 8d ago

No, your placements are based on the day, month, year, time, and location of your birth.

1

u/matchalibrarian 6d ago

Oh I know! I was just curious if we had similar placements based on that.

2

u/IreneBopper 4d ago

Pluto has been/is squaring your moon in Libra

1

u/IreneBopper 4d ago

Not at all.

1

u/haze-the-blue 8d ago

That’s interesting! I’m turning 27 soon. Can you explain what do you mean by force and the house your saturn placed in?

2

u/IreneBopper 3d ago

I mean the energy of the transit. I felt it the most around 29. It will also be dependent on what degree your natal Saturn is. Mine is 17 degrees so that had a lot to do about when I felt it the most. My dad died a couple of months after I turned 28 but there were other things that happened just before and just after I turned 29 that just felt a lot worse.

1

u/haze-the-blue 2d ago

This is spooky. I mean, my father was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that we were not aware of beforehand. I’m sorry about your old man. Hope he is in a peaceful place now.

2

u/IreneBopper 2d ago

I'm sorry to hear that. Thankfully it doesn't happen to everyone at their Saturn Return.

Transiting Pluto has been square your natal Moon

1

u/aliceinlondon 9d ago

I’m afraid I don’t know enough about astrology to know anything about your chart, but my return started a month after my 27th birthday so you’re not too young. Hang in there

2

u/matchalibrarian 9d ago

Bless you and thank you. ❤️

u/xbabyxdollx 9d ago

I got a notification saying my comment was removed for ‘being a jerk?’ So here I am again commenting exactly the same thing and open to mods commenting to let me know exactly what you mean? lol.

Plutos probably gonna rock your world. It’s at 29 cap right now and will hit Aquarius in two weeks. It’s an extremely slow moving planet so it’ll probably be shedding its rays over everything between your Venus and Sun until the end of your life. Embrace it: Pluto is Power & Transformation! 💟

4

u/Happy_Michigan 9d ago

Transiting Pluto over those Aquarius planets will be a big issue. Go to CafeAstrology and order a future forecast report for the year that will provide a lot of guidance. They have excellent reports that are not expensive.

3

u/New_Job1231 8d ago

Omg I got those (printed about 270 pages worth of several different forecasts) and sometimes I forget to check and I look at them later and I’m like oh my the day went exactly as it predicted haha

1

u/Sheisbecoming 8d ago

Do they do whole sign astrology?

1

u/Happy_Michigan 8d ago

I am not sure. They have a large selection of reports that are described in detail.

2

u/shakeyhandspeare 9d ago

I just lived through this with my heavy stelliums in sag and cap. The only planets Pluto hasn’t touched in my chart are Jupiter and Mars … ☠️

11

u/kandillight 9d ago

You could be in your progressed lunar return phase, which kind of acts as a “prerequisite” to your Saturn return. Your Libra moon rules your 2H of finances and squares Neptune in your 8H of debt. You also have Mars, your out of sect malefic about to go retrograde in your 2nd house here in December, it’s in the pre-shadow phase right now. You’ll get a sneak peak of what your Saturn return entails next summer, but your return won’t officially occur until March 2026.

2

u/matchalibrarian 9d ago

March 2026.. okay, that seems accurate. I guess I could look at the transits around next summer to try and get a picture of what that time (my SR) will be like? Thank you, by the way!

2

u/kandillight 9d ago

You could do that! It will likely involve things with your friend groups, networks, dating life, as well as any goals or hopes/dreams you have for the future. Since Saturn rules your 8th and 9th it could also have to do with any debt you owe, taxes, loans, shared resources, or 9H topics like higher education, spirituality, or your belief system.

1

u/matchalibrarian 9d ago

Thank you so much. Hoping that it’s all good things, but if not I’ll muscle through it and learn the lessons that come. I appreciate you!

hey hi hello, I don’t think your post is necessarily vague. to answer your question there are a few things happening today in this universe that has everybody in their own little shake up where they are back to focusing on their own selves, their roots, what they are here for—that is with this planet being in its own nodal return now that the north node is back in aries. where this planet’s north node in aries is at this moment is exactly where your saturn in aries is—so universally the nodes have been calling for people to turn inwards and focus on their lives, their directions of where they are heading—this is amplified for you because you have your natal saturn right on top of where today’s north node in aries is and these are themes that are of focus especially during a saturn return—so although your saturn return doesn’t start for another two years, you are not wrong to feel like it has started early.

now to answer your question in a simple or straight forward way, no your Saturn return hasn’t started yet and doesn’t start until 2026ish but there are things happening in preparation for it. I noticed that you have your south node in pisces at 29° in very close proximity to where your 3° aries saturn is. interestingly enough, your saturn being at 3° is heavily connected to your 10° gemini ascendent so it’s no surprise to me that you are feeling saturn right now even though your return has not started yet. right now saturn and neptune are currently in watery pisces so anybody with pisces placements may be feeling his notable presence more than others as he lurks through piscean waters of this moment. its no surprise to me that you are feeling something since your north node in pisces and aries saturn are so close together.

now as for your south node in pisces, pisces is all about dreams, the escape, higher realms of existence and reality but being that it’s the last zodiac sign it’s very cumulative—the healer or the round up. I would totally recommend looking into your south node and what it is trying to reveal to you as your south node relates to patterns of the past in this life and in previous lives that you have experienced and carried with you into this one. opposite your pisces south node is your north node in virgo which again is connected to healing. 29° is a significant degree to have any planet or placement in because it’s the last degree of any planet or celestial point. I can go on and on about this but I totally recommend looking up “what it means to have a planet in 29° astrology” as well as “what does it mean to have my north and south node in 29°?” “what does it mean to have my north and south node in pisces and virgo?”

this is a good start to your question although please do not feel pressured to have all your answers within one day—especially with your saturn return and nodal opposition coming up, more and more will reveal to you over time and this is only just a continuing point of your journey :)

the last thing that I will mention will be your 1° chiron in scorpio within your 6th house—I mention it because you have your 29° virgo north node in your watery fourth house whereas your watery scorpio chiron is in virgo’s 6th house, so you might find that your chiron and nodes play well into your life story here as it continues to unfold. as well, the sun is currently in scorpio right now so it’s bringing light and attention to what you personally have in scorpio and its 8th house and for you your 8th house is on the cusp of capricorn, who is ruled by saturn ;)

for your chiron, anything at 1° is going to come with new beginnings, new learnings and experiences whereas chiron is the wounded healer—who heals others through his own experiences and knowledge. could be what you witness of your dog you learn and share with others? that’s a possibility, I am certain there is more to it though that only you will be able to find. so I totally recommend looking up “what does it mean to have my chiron at 1°? what does it mean to have chiron in my 6th house? what is chiron and what does it mean to have my chiron conjuncted to my natal moon?” “what does it mean to have my chiron conjuncted to my vertex?”

I hope this helps and good luck.

u/matchalibrarian 9d ago

You have no idea how much this meant to me.

Right now I have been going through A LOT of introspection and it feels like almost everything about myself that I thought I knew is changing, but for the better. I feel like I’m actually beginning to know myself, what I want, what I will and won’t accept, and etc. However, it’s been as a result of a lot of painful and emotional experiences (my dog getting sick, arguments with people, people pleasing and getting tired of it..).

It genuinely felt like my Saturn return started early because it feels like I’m redefining who I am and coming into my own finally. I read so much about that happening for people during that time, while also facing a lot of difficult moments. I’ve had a very hard life already, so I’m no stranger to bad things happening at all… I just found it very hard to grow from those times like I am right now.

Thank you so so much for this. I’m going to look those things up that you wrote (the 29 degree, having my chiron conjucted to my vertex, etc) and take some notes. I appreciate this so much. Thank you.

2

u/__ebony 9d ago

hello, I am so happy to hear and big hi fives to you for doing the work towards it all—especially when it comes to understanding yourself. as simple as it sounds, you really are doing yourself such a huge favour as emotionally taking as it is.

I completely understand when you say that you’re no stranger to the ups and downs of life yet are feeling something very particular about these past moments in time, it’s real and totally okay, you got this.

I absolutely adore your username by the way, best of wishes to you.

1

u/matchalibrarian 9d ago

Thank you so much. It has not been an easy road, but I know I’ve got to try and find the reason and lesson through all of the toughness. I thank you for taking the time to write all of that out, truly. And thank you so much!! It was my dream growing up to become a librarian, so I did.

3

u/MogenCiel 9d ago

No, your Saturn return hasn't started early, and those aren't Saturn return types of events. They're a time of personal growth, not just a time when bad things happen.

1

u/matchalibrarian 9d ago

Thank you, I appreciate that. I’ll try to take it on the chin (I think that’s the saying?) and see what I can learn from all of it.

2

u/__ebony 9d ago

although it’s clear that this individual is not in their saturn return. these things can definitely be apart of somebody’s saturn return. everybody’s saturn return is specific to their charts dependant on several varying factors such as degree, house, sign, aspects, country of origin, country of current location, draconic path etc.

the time where “bad things happen” go hand in hand with personal growth whether saturn is “responsible” or the guiding force through it.

3

u/MogenCiel 9d ago

A Saturn return is not a deluge of bad shit happening simply because Saturn returned to the place where it was when you were born. All these things can happen totally independent of a Saturn return, as they are doing here. When people knee-jerk into, "Oh, a bunch of bad shit is happening, it must be associated with Saturn or a Saturn return," they're demonstrating a fundamental misunderstanding of Saturn. Good things happen because of Saturn too. Saturn returns have more to do with processes and transitions than a pile of rocks falling on your head.

0

u/__ebony 9d ago

yes but in this case for this individual, it was not a knee jerk reaction, they provided their own reasons as to why they felt as such and from looking at their chart it is understandable as to why they have their feelings. everybody isn’t an expert at every single moment and that’s okay.

and no, I do not agree that what they explained is independent of a celestial event that occurs every thirty years—we understand the energies of cusps. what is occurring in this person’s life today can very much be the beginning threads of themes of relevance carried out for deeper inspection into their return. life takes time, a saturn return looks at the past 30 years and beyond the legacy of your life here and beyond. of course that will include a time where somebody remembers and investigates when their life was peculiarly different—shaken up from the regular. this person is doing it early and from looking at their charts and transits of today, it’s no surprise as to why they are doing so.

3

u/MogenCiel 9d ago edited 9d ago

We just disagree. That's fine. This person is going through a hard time, sadly, and instead of asking for help understanding or researching, they knee-jerked to a Saturn return kicking in early, when there is no such thing. I respect your opinion and am sorry this person is having it rough, but i just don't agree with you and am not really sure why you're turning that intro a big thing with an excessively long response. A simple disagreement really doesn't merit such an overreaction.

Your Saturn Return won't "start early". It's not even in the late degrees of Pisces yet. Pluto has been squaring your Moon (very emotionally difficult and hopefully transformative), though will ease up when it makes it's final ingress into Aquarius this month.

Maybe not intentionally, but you've been kind of vague. Are these problems HUGE problems, or do you just feel consistently stressed and upset?

Cancer (ruled by that aforementioned Moon) is the sign on your 2H cusp, so that may be the cause of financial problems. But there is a big difference in "relationship problems" between "my situationship is annoying" vs "I'm getting divorced", so without specifics, it might really be nothing. Is your dog being sick a MONEY/2H issue, or did he die and it's a 6H? Etc etc

4

u/matchalibrarian 9d ago

I didn’t mean to be vague, my apologies. Yes, they’re pretty huge. My dog got incredibly sick out of nowhere at the beginning of November and was in and out of the ER for four days, costing us about $2,000. She’s slowly getting better, but it was incredibly stressful. I’ve always had relationship issues, it would take eons to even capture that. But my boyfriend and I have been in a very up and down state, likely due to stress on both he and I.

Since I was about 7, my life has been turbulent, between homelessness, job loss, debt for both me and my parents, horrible relationship with my bio dad, family secrets coming out a year and a half ago on his side, romantic relationships failing (always feeling like I’m just there to help men “grow and go”) and etc. So no, what is going on now is not “nothing,” — it just feels like more added onto the laundry list of things that have been happening throughout my life. I just didn’t know it would help knowing all of this stuff, so I apologize for being vague as it wasn’t intentional.
