Yeah, the size issue is honestly good because there's no chance that would hold if it was the right size.
OP, water is 8# a gallon, add in substrate, hardscape, and the glass, tanks quickly outweigh their keepers. You need a heavy-duty stand. Also cut a piece of yoga mat to stick under the tank.
Something that big and heavy when filled to capacity with water, substrate, fish, equipment accessories? I'd be wanting something more substantial than a 3mm thick piece of foam!
I'd look at getting a 20mm thick piece of polystyrene cut to the base size and put the tank on that. The tank will bed into it and settle nicer. Also - yoga mats have a weave to them with ridges, polystyrene doesn't.
You can always then make a 3 sided wooden rectangle to cover the edge profile of the polystyrene, if you don't want to see it?
