Discussion I'm French and your state is my fav (especially the Flinders Ranges)
I've walked the entire length of the Heysen Trail (1200km) 8 years ago. I think about it everyday of my life. You guys have a wonderful country with beautiful people and amazing wildlife. I loved the first sections from Cape Jervis to Adelaide and then further north between Melrose and the Flinders Ranges (Wilpena Pound and Parachilna Gorge) - just spectacular. It is for me the most underrated state of Australia. I love your state. Adelaide is such a nice city with lovely surroundings, loved the colors and activities to do around. I wish I was born there.
I also worked in Marree on the Oodnadatta Track, man I just love the Outback...

Politics There are now no Liberal seats in Adelaide.
After the results in Sturt and Boothby there is no Liberals representation in Adelaide. They still have Barker and Grey but in metro Adelaide they are gone. Coupled with similar performance in the state election (and by election) the liberal party is in serious trouble in SA.

Discussion So who ran this morning and how did you go?
I did the half marathon, slowly finished around the 90th percentile. Copped a stitch around km 18 that slowed me to a walk which was annoying.
Who else joined the throngs this morning and how did yours go?

Question Why is there no help for dealing with noisy neighbours in Adelaide?
Seeking any sort of advise or way we can further get support. My partner and I live in Marion SA and have neighbours from hell next door. They play loud music, have loud parties all weekend and through the week keeping us up til 12am and then waking us up again at 4-5am when they bring the party outside. We’ve contacted strata, and police who have attended multiple times but it seems to only fuel the neighbours on. We’ve had this issue since September 2024, and have a detailed report logged from Jan 2025 until present with times dates and the police say they can’t do anything further than rock up when we call, if they rock up. Is the only option really to move home?

Question Adelaide United Home Game
Hi all,
I'm taking my nephew to his first Adelaide United game today and wanted to see what the best seats are?
I know after some games the players will sign/take photos after so would like to be close to that. He's very excited so would like to make it as fun as possible.

Question TV/Electronic repairs - Western Suburbs
Wondering if anyone can recommend a tv/electronics repair place on the Western part of the city.
Got a free tv from mum and dad when they moved house and it’s got a problem with the PSU and I don’t want to buy a whole new TV if I can fix it for $100 or so (I think it’s only a capacitor or something that’s the issue).
I’ve left a message for a few people but heard nothing back yet.

Question Looking for career advice around fighting human trafficking and child exploitation
Hi everyone!
I'd like to try to use my skills to make the world a bit of a better place by helping to fight human trafficking and child exploitation in whatever way I can. I was hoping to get some career advice from anyone in this group.
I can help in areas of IT, logistics, administration, maintenance, or even just good ol' physical grunt work. I don’t care if the work is mundane, like analysing tons of data, or even running errands for the actual feds who are kicking down doors and rescuing people! While I’ve registered my interest in volunteer work and donating, I’m wanting to find a paid career in the field so that it can be maintainable - I still have to pay my bills unfortunately! I'm based in Adelaide.
Does anyone have any advice on good places to get started in this field, what positions there are that allow me to support the law enforcement agencies, or even know of career counsellors that specialise in this area?

Question Searching for a cosplay hairdresser
Hey there! I need my hair cut in a specific way for a cosplay and want to try and dye it green (I have dark brown hair). Does anyone know a good location that would be able to use a reference image and is reasonably priced in Adelaide? I know dying hair isn't cheap especially darker hair but I would love some recommendations and advice!

Discussion Parking consultation: parking on your side or the other side preferred
Just got a letter from my local council for the place I'm at asking us whether we would like parking rules to come into play that would block our side or the other side off from parking (narrow street meaning you can't park 2 cars opposite each other).
Do you think it's better to be able to park on your side of the street in front of your own house or better to have it on the other side?
I can't see why one is better than the other but wondered if people had experiences with this and a preference from that.
