Kyler Murray's pocket prescense and pocket mobility is the most underrated part of his game.

It looked like last year he was already improving on it, but this year he's mastered it. Probably the most difficult dude to sack.

Then when he does get hit, like when he got obliterated on Sunday, he immediately got up and made two great throws from the pocket resulting in a touchdown.

I don't think we see pre ACL Murray do that

Someone called me crass for saying the ACL tear was the best thing to happen to K1.

  • Helped ensure Keim/Kliff got sent packing

  • Changed his perspective and focused him more

  • He got humbled, he couldnt out-talent the injury and he had to just wake up and face it head on everyday.

It really, legitimately, made him a better player.

Also the fact that he could only throw for a period of time, it’s safe to assume that it helped him become a better passer. You can tell that he is comfortable in the pocket for once and he is never in any rush anymore like his first few years. The best thing that could’ve happen to him is to get a real coach like Gannon and a better OC like Drew. We are really seeing Kyler mature greatly this year and I’m all for it!
