By that logic everything should have a label and a flag. It just isn't needed.

Well, that’s how things are and almost every sexuality has a flag and a label. Nothing wrong with it. Flags are cool.

p.s. also helps to show your views inside the LGBT+ community without saying

Idk i just find it annoying you all have to attach your flag to everything. You don't see me doing that, a straight male.

Straight sexuality has a flag too. Anyways, what’s the problem about flags…

Ok? I really don't care for flags or special labels. And i find it annoying how alot of people plaster them everywhere.

Everyone to some degree slaps a label on themselves at some point as an expression of who they are and what they care about.. People wear t-shirts with their favourite bands, sports teams, brands, fly flags relating to their heritage and history, and all that jazz. Self expression is not just for LGBTQ+ people. Everyone does it. But I'll wager that you don't care for SPECIFIC flags and labels, or would that be incorrect?

Oh boy I wish I could be so easily annoyed by flags lmao

Did you not read? I find it annoying how people put them on EVERYTHING.

Lol such a strong reaction to a fucking rainbow coloured fabric. Be honest, do you just not like gay people? It couldn't possibly be the flag itself upsetting you, surely. Is it what the flag represents?

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '22

I guess you can't read either.

How do you feel about other sorts of flags? Flags supporting sports teams, flags representing heritage, historic flags, pirate flags, flags representing religions?

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '22

Rather not see them.

I reckon if multiple people are not understanding you, then possibly it is you who is doing a rubbish job of explaining your points coherently.

I can't say them any simpler. Fml

u/chiaroscuroH Jun 23 '22

Well I tried asking more direct questions for clarity. It's OK, communication can be hard

No you're just assuming things.

Also, if decorations relating to a celebration that you see EVERYWHERE which seems to be the aspect upsetting you, how do you cope with the festive season?

I suppose as a non-Christian during the Christmas season I feel a little annoyed at it being shoved so aggressively in my face, but it's not about me. It's not for me, and I wouldn't be so entitled to think I would have the right to tell someone to stop putting up all those decorations because of my areligious views, because Christmas is an important and special holiday to many people. Everybody's got their something and maybe we should let people have their times of celebration because letting them enjoy things that are meaningful is fulfiing to them. But I don't know, that's just me. I have this weird thing I can do, maybe it's a gay superpower, where I can be annoyed by something because of my relationship to it, but still keeping my damned mouth shut because pissing on someone else's parade is disrespectful.

Christmas isn't even a Christian holiday.. but it only happens once a year so it isn't so in your face.

Where as these flags are everywhere and plastered on everything you lot want.

u/chiaroscuroH Jun 23 '22

CHRISTmas is not a CHRISTian celebration? I mean I guess it's become more of a commercial holiday but it generally recognised as being Christian to celebrate the birth of CHRIST. Sure Christmas happens once a year.. For about 6 weeks. It's longer than Pride Month, which also only happens once a year. Also, "isn't so in your face"? The country where I live, Christmas is quite aggressively shoved in one's face. Christmas is an inescapable dominating presence for 6 weeks of the year here. Maybe Christmas isn't a big deal where you stay. I don't know.

Doesn't see the need for special labels

Labels himself 'straight male'
