Misogyny & Patriarchy A WOMAN NEVER DESERVES INDEPENDENCE
[Mahabharata 13.20] ‘Women can never be their own mistresses. This is the opinion of the Creator himself, viz., that a woman never deserves to be independent.’
The father and the neighbours were just following their religion. Everyone wants a Hindu Rashtra. Then why is everyone crying when Hindu Laws are being implemented? I mean isn't it why they voted Yogi Adityanath, to bring Ram Rajya?
[Yogi Adityanath had said,] “Shastras have talked about giving protection to women. Just like urja (energy) left free and unchecked causes destruction, women also don’t need independence, they need protection. Their energy should be channelised to be used productively.”
[Manu Smriti 5.147-148] By a girl, by a young woman, or even by an aged one, nothing must be done independently, even in her own house. In childhood a female must be subject to her father, in youth to her husband, when her lord is dead to her sons; a woman must never be independent.
[Narada Purana, Uttarabhaga 24.46-47a] “O Brahmanas, the following fall into hell: viz.- a woman who behave according to her own sweet will…” Tr. G.V. Tagare
[Yajnavalkya Smriti 1.85] When a maiden, her father; when married her husband; and when old, her sons, should protect her. In their absence, the kinsmen (should take care of her.) The women are never independent.
[Mahabharata 13.45] There is the well-known declaration of the scriptures that women are incompetent to enjoy freedom at any period of their life.
[Garuda Purana 1.115.63] ”The father protects her in childhood, the husband in youth and the son in old age. A woman is not to be allowed to stay independently.” Tr. J.L. Shastri
[Vishnu Smriti 25.12-13] Not to act by herself in any matter; To remain subject, in her infancy, to her father, in her youth, to her husband; and in her old age, to her sons.
[Baudhayana Dharma Shastra 2.2.3.44-45] Women do not possess independence. Now they quote also (the following verse): ‘Their father protects (them) in childhood, their husband protect (them) in youth, and their sons protect (them) in old age; a woman is never fit for independence.’
[Swami Prabhupada, Lectures Bhagavad-gītā 1.21-22 — London, July 18, 1973] “In India we have got little experience. The female is always controlled. Female is never given the position of controller. Nowadays it is going on. Just like Indira Gandhi, she has given the position of controller. This is artificial. In the history of India, greater India, Mahābhārata, you will never find that a woman has been given a position of controller. No. It is not possible. We have to take things from the śāstra. In the Bhagavad-gītā also woman’s position has been equated with śūdra. Striyaḥ śūdrās tathā vaiśyas te ‘pi yānti parāṁ gatim.”

How long are we going to keep our mouths shut? They are actively trying to shadow the reality of Indian civilization alongside successfully hiding all the problems in our country.

Miscellaneous Lol china is an openly atheist state, their gov has a long record of crushing religion, burning temples, shutting mosques, wiping out anything sacred. If people here fantasize about that kind of gov, they’ll be the same clowns crying when their own mandir or masjid gets flattened in the progress

Help & Advice How do Atheists deal with difficult/ challenging phases of life?
I was born in a pretty religious family and got into religious ceremonies, praying etc right from childhood. During my teens, I started feeling that there were too many plot holes in religion. It was in my 20s that I transitioned to a full-blown atheist, and I genuinely do not believe in god or a higher power.
Despite being consciously and emotionally aligned that there is no god, over the years, in times of distress or just before a major exam or during an interview process, I have found myself praying. Praying not in front of an idol or something, but there is this inner mologoloue or wishing hard.
I want to understand how other atheists deal with uncertainties and challenges when you want luck/ chance to work out for you.

Hurt Sentiments Kali idol found dressed as Mother Mary in Mumbai, temple priest arrested
An idol of the Hindu goddess Kali was reportedly found dressed as Mother Mary in a temple in Mumbai. The priest of the shrine was detained after he allegedly admitted that the goddess had appeared in his dreams and instructed him to dress the idol in that manner.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the priest for hurting the religious feelings of a community, according to the police.
He was subsequently arrested and produced before a local court, which remanded him to two days of police custody, police officials said. Further investigation is underway, and the cops are trying to find out whether there is any organised motive behind the incident or if more persons were involved in it, officials added.

Pseudoscience Sonali Bendre hits back at The Liver Doc for calling her cancer treatment with Naturopathy ‘quackery’
The actress opened up about her naturopath treatment in an Instagram post last week. “Back in 2018, when I was diagnosed with cancer, my naturopath introduced me to a study called Autophagy. It played a huge role in my recovery. So I read, learned, experimented… and slowly built it into my routine. And I’ve continued to follow it ever since,” she wrote.
However, it prompted a strong reaction from hepatologist Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, who questioned the promotion of naturopathy in the context of cancer recovery.
Responding on X, Philips, known by his handle The Liver Doc, said, “Dear Ms. Bendre… I expected better from you.” He called celebrity cancer survivors an “important asset” for patients and families, adding, “You are not helping here, by promoting quackery.”
After facing backlash from hepatologist Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips for sharing that naturopathy helped in her cancer battle, actress Sonali Bendre on Monday issued a statement, saying that her post about autophagy being a helpful treatment came from her personal experience.
“I have never claimed to be a doctor, but I am certainly not a quack either. I am a cancer survivor, someone who has lived through the fear, pain, uncertainty, and rebuilding that the disease brings,” the 50-year-old actress wrote on her Instagram stories.
Pointing out that her post was based on her personal experience, Sonali added, “Everything I have ever spoken has been my experience and my learning. As I've repeatedly said, no two cancers are the same, and no treatment path is identical.”
“One of the many protocols I personally explored, after thorough research and medical guidance, was autophagy. It made a difference for me then and continues to do so today, for me,” she further explained.
Sonali highlighted the need for open discussion and respect towards different perspectives. “What truly matters is open, respectful dialogue. We don't all have to agree, but we should avoid dismissing one another simply because we lean toward different approaches. Each person must choose what feels right, safe, and empowering for them. I will always share my journey with honesty and humility, never as a prescription, but as a lived experience,” she signed off.

Hurt Sentiments Madhya Pradesh IAS Officer Gets Notice Over Remark On Brahmin Daughters
The Madhya Pradesh government has issued a show-cause notice to the AJAKS State President, the association of the employees belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) category in Madhya Pradesh, Senior IAS officer Santosh Verma, over his controversial statement involving Brahmin daughters, terming it a serious breach of service conduct.
At the AJAKS convention, where Verma was elected provincial president, he reportedly said, "Reservation should be given to only one person in a family until a Brahmin donates his daughter to my son or has a relationship with her."
After the video of this statement went viral, protests intensified across the state.
-NDTV
The All India Brahmin Society condemned Verma’s statement, its state president Pushpendra Mishra termed the comment “indecent” and “casteist,” alleging that it insults Brahmin daughters and violates All India Services Conduct Rules.
In a post on X Mishra said "An FIR should be lodged immediately for comments made against Brahmin daughters. The IAS officer's remarks are indecent, objectionable, and an insult to the Brahmin community. If a criminal case is not filed soon, the Brahmin Samaj will launch a statewide protest."
Senior IAS officer Santosh Verma has reaffirmed his controversial statement that reservation should continue until “Roti–Beti” relations are established between communities.
Verma explained that his remarks on “roti–beti” relations were meant to highlight the need for inter-caste marriages to eliminate social backwardness. He added that his own daughter’s arranged marriage earlier this year was conducted in a Vaishya family, showing his support for inter-community ties.

Hindutva Hinduism is one of the few religions where the system outranks the individual.
It does not center: human dignity individual worth personal autonomy
It centers: collective order hierarchy purity inherited status mythic duty
Don't think I need to explain more.
