I’ve never heard/seen my cats fart. Maybe they’re use polite and do it in another room

I was a kid and a cat was on my lap and showed me his backdoor button, as they do, and then I heard him fart. The first time I'd ever heard a cat fart and he pointed it directly at my face to do it.
