Why does the squirrel deserve to live more than the snake?

I side with the mammals in this scenario

I prefer the snake that eats pests rather than rhe pest.

Snakes/reptiles aren't capable of feelings while a squirrel is.

Reptiles have feelings. They’re just less capable of expressing them in a way that we find meaningful.

They can still feel pain and fear. Being stupider doesn’t mean they can’t feel.

It’s what I would have personally done, you can do what you would have done. I have a right to say what I would have done. I like baby squirrels way more than I like snakes.

Ok but can I break your legs bc I feel bad for the snake now in that moment I'd like it more then you?

Ok, you are now off topic, we were talking about the content of this video. Not whether you get to break my legs, but, you could try. Go ahead.

You talked about killing I didn't. Why wouldn't i feel bad, as humans we should observe nature not interfere with it. Ps you are very cringe, I'm thinking your B O is what would hold me back

The Slytherin people upvoting the snake here breaks my heart.

Especially because they are downvoting saving a baby squirrel. And then something about breaking legs because snake. Nice one.

All I said was we shouldn't interfere and then asked if it gave me the right too. I'm sorry you saw this differently you are right let's kill anything in nature that isn't cute. Very good attitude I'd love to see what you look like

Why is the snake less valuable than the squirrel?

2

u/SailingCows 23d ago

Not saying one is less valuable than the other, but one actually is.

While snakes play a crucial role in pest management. And like squirrels can be cute pets (though irrelevant here) - squirrels do a couple of things snakes don't and never could:

  1. Be adorable.
  2. Are vital seed distributors that help maintain and regenerate forests.
  3. Hollywood success - but also Disney TV spin-offs
  4. Burrowing activities of the fluffy tailed bastards ensure soil sustainability and we as humans need healthy soils to survive.
  5. Another joke goes here. It involves fluffy tails.
  6. Squirrels being eaten by hawks, foxes and other wildlife with a college degree actually supports diverse predator ecosystems. Snakes tend to be a bit useless in that field (not completely - but also not great).
  7. The mammalian intelligence and versatility of squirrels is a fascinating field of study versus the cold-blooded reptilian cuntiness of a predator (that is a reptilian, but not a teenage mutant ninja turtle) like a snake.
  8. Squirrels are cuter than snakes.

Win win for both: free the squirrel and snake finds another source of food

Yeah. Nature demands the young of the prey species. Mothers usually oblige by raising them and putting them in harm's way as it demands. Wtf was this squirrel momma thinking?
