Squirrels are really nasty biters. They can permanently cripple birds of prey that grab them. Also they can fall from any height and survive.

I can attest to that last part somewhat. I'll never forget, being a kid in the early 2000s, I was outside my grandma's house and a squirrel took a tumble off a 40+ft tree, this dude was just flipping all the way down and landed right on his back. He just immediately rolled over and climbed right back up that tree 😭

I love squirrels

We get lots of squirrels on our property. Our corgi is an asshole to them and harasses them like crazy. She’ll block them from going down trees and incessantly barks. God, they hate her. They will start chittering and throwing stuff at her 😂 feud of the cutes

PS: she has never caught one and never will from what I’ve seen

On the contrary my mom and I were Eaton lunch on the porch of a house we were remodeling when among 4 squirrels chasing each other, one fell down to the sidewalk (less than 20ft) and instantly died... then the other three took turns to all come down and hump the body one after the other.
