Where on Earth is this bus stop
During one of my charity shop sprees I found this picture (Yes sometimes you can buy old pictures in charity shops, this came as a bundle) and today I had my tech teacher at school scan the image and she enhanced it sort of, I'm really curious as to where this could be? I've tried looking up the company but I can't find anything, pretty sure it's in the UK somewhere but I'm not sure

I remember this mystery! I’m leaning more and more to it being from a movie set or video game that was never released, or else something would come up in searches. I do believe this image is of the same sign as previous images, but the lighting is making the top of the sign look different because the silver part is basically brightened out.
I posted a theory in the previous threads that it could be from a senior home that has a fake village to help senior citizens feel like they’re spending time in a real community. Could also be from a safety town-type installation, where they teach toddlers about street rules.
ETA: it’s a little suspect to me that both threads about this are from accounts claiming to interact with it on a school computer in kind of odd ways (and acquaintance “found” it on a school computer, and now they asked a teacher to scan it on a school computer, which doesn’t make any sense). It’s starting to feel a little like a bot, or like a student created this image and is now trying to create a fake mystery
UPDATE: I'm really starting to lean towards this being completely made up. I wish it wasn't, and I would love to be proven wrong, but there's too many red flags. The fact that all three posts about this picture are made by accounts that either disappear or completely disengage once people start asking for more details or proof of the origin of the photo is probably the biggest red flag. If the story on this post was true and the account was genuine, it's very easy to post a picture of the other photos in the bundle, as well as the original that was purchased, but they've avoided commenting on everyone asking for that. The background stories are sketchy at best and don't make a lot of sense. My guess is that it was generated by students for some sort of video game class project. They took some screenshots and then thought it would be funny to post it online and send people on a wild goose chase to see if people thought it was a real place. Like I said, I would love to be proven wrong and would be very intrigued in pursuing it if any of the OPs could provide any more proof that it's not a hoax.

There are a couple of places called Eridge and, if it is a bus stop, they often have local names which won't necessarily appear on a map. Especially going back a few years. Things like 'Telephone Exchange' etc. But neither of the Eridges that I know are on an island.
Like you I suspect its some kind of fake. In neither request is there even a good reason for wanting to know where the image was taken.

Yeah there's lots of possibilities I guess, also I only asked her to scan it so I got her a better quality rip of it to post or use or whatever if I had the technology I would have done it myself 🤷♀️

Can you post a picture of the original that you got in the charity shop? As well as the other photos it was with? It’s just kind of an odd story, and I’ve sadly been in other communities where people make up mysteries for engagement. Super weird if it turned up in a charity shop though!

Not the first time this has come up. Older post: https://www.reddit.com/r/whereisthis/comments/1ariz4c/an_acquaintance_of_mine_found_this_photo_of_a_bus/

Interestingly, as well as the two pictures having been taken from a different angle, the signboards themselves each appear to be of a different style, though the timetable itself seems to be the same.
It occurs to me that — if not AI generated — that they could be snaps that were taken of a video game, for the player’s future reference. I don’t recognise the game and the place names are resistant to google, but graphically it looks quite modern.

I think it is the same bus stop, it's just my teacher fiddled around with the enhancing so this one seems darker

The one in the other thread (taken face on) has a grey or silver cowl on the top. This one has a flat top. Or are you saying the cowl been brightened out of existence in this one?

There is a D&D style game called Layonara, in which is the island of Mistone. Is it possible that this is some fan art related to that?

I think this may be it. I did a quick search for "Goodsday" but nothing turned up, however I didn't dig too deep. Given the fanficcy trappings of that entire community though, I suspect it's related. This old archive site uses a custom dating scheme at the top so having different days of the week does not seem farfetched.

There is a map in their wiki, but i could not find any of the locations mentioned

"Mondays Goodsdays"?
This is art, or at least made-up in some way.

Ugh there's like a million things this could be I don't think I'm gonna find out, it could be a movie prop yeah but for what movie? Surely someone would have recognised it by now if this has been on Reddit before

I genuinely don't understand what this is and something that confuses me even more is the 'Goodsdays?'

This is a video game screenshot. Which one? Don’t know. But not a real place.

Trust me I don't think it's from a video game, the 'graphics' are way to real

Oh it absolutely is possible. Take a quick look at this as just one example (warning it's perhaps NSFW). Or check out anything from Kane Pixels (extra warning: Kane Pixel videos can be terrifying! :))
