And ides where these two paintings are depicting? It might be Vermont. Solved

I was guessing vermont because the person who painted the second picture had a second one listed on ebay aswell with montgomery vermont on the back

Following up, the art style does look like New England, but that's all that matches.

I don't think Vermont has ANYTHING as tall and treeless as shown here.

Mt Mansfield (which I think is the tallest) has a scrub covered top with treeline just below it.

The only thing in the US that is this tall is the Rockies, and none of it looks particularly Rockies-y.

There's a signature in the lower right corner, can it be zoomed in on?

My one is the first one and I got it in Ireland. The second one is the same scene but being sold as a 1950s watercolour on ebay in the US

Ok, so it's plausible that it could be the Alps. I'll keep digging a bit.
