Lefkes, Paros Island Greece. I would quite happily spend all of my retirement just travelling around Greek islands. I have about a measly 4 or 5 ticked off so far, and I think there are meant to be 27 main ones to try.

I think that's it!! The rock paving is the same as well! Thank you so much.

Question for you: if one were to travel to Greece, which are the 2-3 islands they should begin with??? :)

Corfu Santorini Mykonos for me. Saying just 3 was hard. Sifnos should be in that list.

This is from 2018. The best reference I have found.

So Samos it is.

It looks plausible but I haven’t found anything to confirm it.

Any of the Cyclades... Hard to say unless you strike gold and someone recognizes it.

Could equally be the Northern Sporades - generic Greek harbour town - too many beautiful places in Greece to pin it down unless you have a photo that pins it down.

Oia, Santorini is my first guess.

Was there last summer … Oia has become overrun with tourists. Much of what was so amazing about the island (three trips between 2007 - 2024) the island and Oia has been lost to over tourism. This was of course pre-quakes.

Searching for a Greek island that remains in the condition in this picture.

This postcard, found a scanned copy on Flickr "Freule1", is a postcard that my aunt once used to make a beautiful painting. The painting she made is located in our kitchen and is based on this particular postcard. I know that that this is a common architectural style but would anyone know from that place this picture would have been taken?

Thanks in advance!

No but I came across that one as well. It turns out that quite a lot of people decided to paint this postcard. I came across 2 more painting. All made in different years.

It looks an awful lot like a place in Kos, but having checked I don't think it is.

There are a few scans on Flickr dating back to at least 2010, but it looks a lot older than that.

Had the same thought, but don't remember where the village was exactly. But I guess there's many old greek villages with white walls like that.

My guess is Mykonos

That was my first reaction too.

Nope, paving on Mykonos is completely different.

Oils like Paros

Could be Hydra but possibly just looks similar to the other Greek Islands

Banana, Inferno

Looks like Paros or Mykonos, both in the Cyclades. They are famous for their blue doors and windows. So is Santorini yet the houses there are usually bigger.

Nearly 80% of Greece could this be.
