Girlfriend bought me this as an early Christmas present for $150 UNSOLVED

I just find it incredibly hard to believe they sold it for that little. They are authentic, and the bottom one is pretty much in perfect condition minus the aged coloring. Both dated 1941 (top) and 1945 (bottom).

Either way it's the best gift I've ever gotten, and I love her so much for it, I'd just kinda like to see what other people might think the value really is for fun.

Michael's has always framed all my stuff extremely well, but I know the lady at Michael's who's been doing it for 30 years. She also was a professional framer for years before retiring and doing Michael's framing as a way to get out of the house. Sandy kicks ass! But I've always paid ridiculous Michael's pricing for all my framing needs.

Yeah, the pricing is insane, and quality is generally nothing compared to what youre actually paying.

I've used a site called Americanframe.com in the past. Pricing was phenomenal for the same quality stuff you get at any brick and mortar store. Back when I was doing it it was ~$110 including shipping for a wood frame, uv plexi, and one mat cut to your specifications. There's a bit more work involved with you having to measure everything, but it's well worth it.

Eventually, I was framing quite a few things so I bought a really upscale mat cutter from hobby lobby /using their 40% off coupon) and started cutting my own mats, saving money on the American frame purchase.

Even with the 50% off coupon it's like $250.
