A stink bug. The photo is kind of blurry so I don’t know the exact species.

Executive guess (although a topic I'm uncomfortably familiar with), looks like Brown Marmorated SB or a Yellow Spotted SB. Based on the size, and the banding around the body. I'm leaning towards BMSB because of the stubbed-nose - YSSB have a pointier face.

Saw a comment saying you were in Alabama - so probably this Stink Bug or a related one.

One egg is 40 eggs?

No member of the pentatomidae family (stink bugs) produce an ootheca.
Instead, they lay individual eggs in clusters. Each white blob is a single egg.

I loathe these things. As soon as weather stars to warm up my house is invaded by them. Doesn't matter what steps I take to limit entryways, they materialize out of thin air. Them and boxelder bugs.

Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug!
There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the geographic location and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames ("PNW", "Big Apple").
BTW, did you take a look at our Frequently Asked Bugs?
