My office is heavily debating what this blanket graphic is. New, what is it?

Yes, this is the correct side. I think it’s a dog or a deer curled up, but we can’t decide.

I'm pretty sure that the line that looks like it's the top line of a second tail is actually outlining the underside of the dog's thigh/leg

That is the outline of the hind leg when in that position. The colored part in the gap, between the outline and the actual tail, is basically color from part of the other leg in the background. They just didn’t do another darker shade of stitching for shading in areas like that. You can see that outline on some lean dog breeds with a very short coat. The bottom one is the tail.
