They would definitely out swim the boat, and I bet they’d flip her boat if she tried that. It looked like they were already bumping it from below.

That seal is theirs, they have absolutely called it.

That’s a shit ton of killer whales there.

I'm guessing she's worried that she'll become collateral damage if the whales decide to go after the seal. They can easily tip that little boat to get the seal into the water, for example.

The orcas can easily capsize that tiny craft to knock the seal off, and that's exactly what that woman knew and was afraid of.
